[ooc]The group that came to the Old Kartakan Inn is together, yes. Airand, Cross, Sir Karl, Kybalion, Jerry, Merrick, Mira, Pyros. The others are all back at the Broken Wheel. [/ooc]
Jerry frowns, staring into the fog. Finally she speaks. It is growing late, and we have lost the trail. We will be able to search for signs of him safely in the daytime tomorrow, and he will be unable to move before tomorrow night. He must reach his resting place before a couple of hours has passed. With all of our searching he is at his destination by now, so we know at least he is in this area of town somewhere. Perhaps we can look at maps and pick the most likely places to search tomorrow?

"If that's all we can do. Then so be it. Having that monster loose, with the damage it did to these people.. my friends. That scares me, having it out there. I.. I don't want it hurting anyone else." Mira sighs, she was tired, without spells because they had been wasted on a battle they didn't need to fight!
"If that is all we can do. Then so be it. I dislike the idea of it being loose greatly." The Knight answers as he leads them back to the inn, feeling strangely weakened and damaged.

"What is there to fear about Dragons, they don't even notice folks like me. A Death Knight? No point in being scared of the night of your death, we all have it coming."
Pyros thinks.
"Haldrake was very upset about it being bad for business, but he seemed to give up the search awfully quick too. Maybe we circle back, but don't mention the special rooms."

(alas if he thinks it, Mira can't read his mind!)
"Death Knights are a little more than that Pyros. Imagine Karl if he has gone bad, could use awful magic and could scare you to your very soul.. one of them would fit in well here." Mira muses, waiting on the Kender to join them.

"Well let's ask the Bartender why he gave up so easily when he was so upset about the murders ruining business. Buut maybe Mira should do the talking."
"Karl could never go bad!"

"So you want me to smile sweetly at him?" Mira asks, "It won't be the first time.. I can say Sabrina is scared as that's the truth and see what he says." Agreeing with the plan she takes the lead.
"Thank you Pyros. Your faith in me is appreciated." Karl bows and follows Mira instead.

Pyros will fall in line as they go to the bar. But he will easily be distracted if something makes itself known.

As the party re-enters the inn, they find Haldrake and the older man from the front desk walking down the main hall towards the bar area. The large, heavily muscled bartender stops as Mira steps through the door; revealing the others behind her. His eyes scan the group as if taking stock. He gestures once and the little old man scurries off back through the dining room from which they had come.
Well? Did you find anything? We've been tearing the inn apart looking for this 'killer' but it's all starting to seem like some elaborate prank. His glare burns towards the kender for a moment but soon turn a hard eye towards the bard

Under his breath. "Pfft prank, tell that to the folks at the Broken Wheel"

"Prank?" Mira asks softly, "Tell that to Sabrina who had someone killed in front of her." She sighs, "This thing is out there, and it needs to be stopped." She pauses, "It would be hidden somewhere inaccessible, somewhere.. hidden from sight. If you have any suggestions we can look.. and things can go back to normal."

Karl holds his tongue, for now at least. The idea that these people thought it was a hoax was madness to him.

Kybalion tries his best to keep up with the events they speak of. He is confused still and notes the tone of the conversation taking place. All he knows is the group he is with know each other and have each others back or so it seems. He picks up on the terse demeanor that appears with the barkeep. He does his best to obscure his stance as he readies himself to deal with the barkeep should he get out of line.
