Short rest means we can learn half the spells? Is it just getting slots back or able to replace 'readied' spells as well?

As a wizard you regain spell slots up to half your level rounded up. - Arcane recovery.

Can use Hit Dice to heal, and recover abilities that come back on a short rest.

Nocturno, where do you keep track of the HP and used spells?

That is what I intended the status threads for.

I supplied a template to use.

In my status I have full HP and haven't used any spell.

I'm hoping you guys can do that yourselves in those posts.

Please copy the template from my Opening Post(OP) there and update with any XP you get, and keep HP and spell slots, Hit Dice and Inspiration up to date.

All good. You should only be down the 1 spell slot. As you would have regained the one you used during the short rest.

I don't think any of the PCs got hurt during the combat.

If he has the cantrip yes. The DC was 5 with adv lol...

I think Guidance is a great, and often overlooked, cantrip.

We use it ALOT in our RL table games.

He has the cantrip, his bit of advice will count as him using it for expedience.
