Adran unpacks his tome and gladly allows Merrick to peruse it, saying this precious tome took me many years to recover, please treat it well.

"A tune?" Her eyes travel from Pytor to Elsa and back, shifting the Lute that lay strapped to her back she she coughs, and begins to play a rising tune full of fast strums.
O lady wake!--the azure moon
Is rippling in the verdant skies,
The owl is warbling his soft tune,
Awaiting but thy snowy eyes.
The joys of future years are past,
To-morrow's hopes have fled away;
Still let us love, and e'en at last,
We shall be happy yesterday.
The early beam of rosy night
Drives off the ebon morn afar,
While through the murmur of the light
The huntsman winds his mad guitar.
Then, lady, wake! my brigantine
Pants, neighs, and prances to be free;
Till the creation I am thine.
To some rich desert fly with me.
Letting the notes fall she grins.

As the notes fall, Pytor steps towards the bard. "Bravo!" Scooping Mira up by the legs within the crook of his arm he hoists her aloft and spins around. "Tis truly a wondrous voice you possess milady. Please forgive this fool's ignorant words." Relaxing his arms he lets her slowly slip down to the floor before releasing her from his embrace. "Never again shall I ever call into question your musical talents, even in friendly jest. This, I swear to you now."

Pytor wipes a bead of sweat from his brow after letting go of Mira. "You mentioned weapons earlier. Worry not. I have a decent enough set of weapons crafted from good steel. They have served me well so far."
Looking to Pyros, he asks... "You seem the type to explore about a bit. Would you know if a stream or brook suitable enough to dowse one's face is nearby? I've yet to freshen for the morning."

Mira begins to protest at the treatment, she almost shouted the words I'm not a sack of Potatoes!! a sudden realisation crossing her mind, visons of her doing exactly the same thing to Elsa! Flying high she marvels silently over the big Mans strength, bringing her hand suddenly between her legs she blushes slightly.
Oh my god! How strong is he? She muses as the big man lowers her down once more, she doesn't speak for some time, until his question brings her attention back to the present, catching Elsa's eyes she mouths the words: "Sorry."
"Oh, the weapons, yeah." Turning her mind to the task at hand she draws the blade at her side. "See, good steel is useful, but certain types of these creatures are well, immune, weapons like this do more damage." Hefting the weapon she places the old heavy blade firmly across her skirt covered lap.

Merrick accepts the tome, treating it with the utmost care. He begins to scan the document interestedly, almost entranced by the theories posed within.
Adrestia pats her brother's shoulder in return, I will answer for you anything I am able, brother. And I would be proud to have you in this hunt with me.
Pyros slips out unnoticed by the group until Pytor looks for him. Glancing out the window, he finds the diminutive Kender half-climbing Adrastia's horse trying to secure the bags Artanis has packed. The red-bearded ranger stands outside as well and nearby the industrious small-folk; chuckling and stroking his beard.

Done with his studies, Adran asks the group when they would like to get back on the road again?

"That is fascinating, milady." Pytor replies as he slides his hand along the length of Mira's blade. "It appears that the quality of the working is excellent. If you have any to spare, I would be in your debt. I can wield a battleax and short sword well enough, but a warhammer is the weapon that truly fits well in my hands."
"In this strange land, I may soon tire you with my questions, sister. But I will try to spread the wealth, so to say." Glancing around those assembled Pytor smiles. "Aside from grabbing another hammer, and giving my head a quick douse, what preparations should I make before we depart?"

[Outside] Artanis and Pyros
Pyros manages to haphazardly situate some of the bags on Adrestia’s horse outside. Artanis finally approaches and helps him in setting them more evenly so the animal won’t balk under the load. We should wait for our new friend’s say-so to load up the other horse. Adrestia is very protective of Rouchard here, he says, patting the chestnut gelding’s neck.
[Inside] Adran, Adrastia, Cross, Elsa, Jerry, Merrick, Mira and Pytor
Elsa seems suddenly to remember something. She drops off her pack and begins to dig through it. There were lots of other weapons we found too, not all of them iron… I was thinking of giving this to a friend of ours, but I don’t think he’d really have much use for it. Maybe you will… well, especially if you’re traveling with us! she adds with a laugh. The pretty cleric finally comes up with a war-hammer. This was with the other stuff. I’m not great with hammers, I really prefer maces. she adds, holding the weapon out to him. Pytor can quickly see that it is a well-crafted weapon, but with a pure silver striking-face rather than one of steel!
The Halfling re-situates her bag and slings it back on. Well, I’m ready whenever you guys are! she says cheerfully. It looks like Pyros and Artanis have already gotten our supplies ready to go.
Merrick looks up, then closes and hands the volume back to Adran, Thank you. I think I’d best let you carry it while we travel but I’d certainly like a second look at it when we make camp tonight. He says to the elven man.

"Good thinking Elsa." Mira responds shrugging her weapons on her back along with her pack as she begins to move to the door. "Come on, lets make Harmonia by Nightfall."

Pyros looks over the side "I could probably ride under here with the right setup."
"I wonder when they will stop flapping their gums!"
