Fikod raises his crossbow, whispering fiercely "one rabbit stew, comin' right up!" He sends a bolt at one of the little creatures, weapon making a loud 'twang'.

[Jerrard]

Jerrard is about to give a word of caution when Fikods bolt flies through the air. "Should we..." he starts to say, before raising his hands in surprise. "This is a cursed forest, who knows what will happen. ?"

[Jenara]

"Should we shoot the poor little rabbits?" Locky asks, looking at Babuskha. "We have enough food for now don't we?"

[JadedDM]

Fikod's bolt flies true and skewers one of the rabbits, killing it instantly. The others scatter in all directions at once, disappearing into the underbrush.

"Well, at least someone will get some meat for dinner tonight," Thuskar notes.

"Yeah, we haven't eaten meat since Jeremy...uh...I mean, good shot, Fikod," Ulster adds.

[Breila]

"With some roots and herbs, I could make a stew for us all this evening" Babushka offers. "And Locky, it is fine to hunt for food, even though we have rations. It could be that we get delayed and need them later. What would be wrong is to kill an animal just for the thrill of hunting."

[HorizonsDream]

"Why is that wrong?" Imani asks curiously.

[Breila]

Babushka turns to Imani. "Because anything living has a value of its own. Nature is delicately balanced, fulfilling the needs of all beings. Shelter and food are needs that justify the killing of another being, be it plant or animal. We in turn will die and be food for animals and plants as we turn into soil. But to kill for our pleasure is wrong, because we use the skils given to us against other living beings, not giving anything in return."

[Jerrard]

"I was thinking more that this forest is cursed. Who knows what might happen?" Jerrard muses. "But it appears to be ok, perhaps we should search for something larger? Fikod and Babuskha could hunt for us, but stay close."

He looks to Imani, waiting for agreement to his suggestion.

[Jenara]

"Its ok? Habbuak doesnt mind?" locky asks, flipping through the cards once more, finding the Knight she moves closer to Ulster.

"I'm sorry." She says in a little voice.

[NoTrammeling]

Fikod takes a liesurely stroll to his stricken rabbit "Fear not, friends. The Blue Phoenix and the Dirty Dwarf will feed ye well this night!" He hoists the thing from the ground, making sure it's breathed its last. Turning back to the group he grins. "Though I cannae vouchsafe another night's victuals. Its pelt will make a fine pair of soft fur gloves for the ever-cold nights of ye surface dwellers. Give me reliable heat of the earth any day!"

[JadedDM]

"I think we're okay," Thuskar says. "The cursed part of the forest is further south now. As long as we stay away from it, we should be alright."

Ulster looks away, unable to meet the kender's gaze. "Uh, okay," he says.

[Jenara]

"Its ok." She smiles up at the Man. "I don't plan to have that happen again." Offering him a hand.

[Jerrard]

"Thank you Fikod, you inspire me." Jerrard grins, "Lets keep moving shall we?"

[HorizonsDream]

"Hunting takes too long. We have rations, and that is enough to get us to the next town, which is hopefully out of this forest," Imani says. As much as the trees and such were pretty, she wasn't have the best of times here.
