It's been a busy couple of weeks. I worked a lot of extra hours last week in order to get a half-day off Friday, to travel out of state for a two-day medieval event. Spent the weekend at the event, and then I spent 56 hours in the office this past week. Today is the first chance I've had to breathe in about two weeks.
As for the numbers, it took a while to get a set of numbers that would make a meaningful PC. I wanted to play a Ranger. The first set of numbers I rolled were stupid high - there were two 18s and a 15 in there. So rather than to play such a superman, I figured I'd roll a different character. And those numbers were awful - like all under 10. Then a set came up which were 12,13,14,15,16,17, which just sounds unbelievable. Then, well, rinse, repeat.
And after all that, still not the numbers needed to make a Ranger, so we have a fighter/priest instead.

Stik, are you interested in being a Specialty Priest of Shevarash as outlined
here?
Oh I'm glad you brought that up, I was going to ask why you rolled so many times. Never thought it'd be because you didn't want to play a character that was
too powerful ^^;

I just wanted to note to you all that I'm sorry about forcing such a choice in this encounter (Jain explicitly asking you to Hide or Stay). Normally I'd leave it a bit more open-ended but when I planned things I assumed there'd be ample brush for cover... then went and described the forest as having NO cover ^^; Let me assure you the future will not have A or B choices, and you'll be left to your own devices.

I would have done the same as Stik with such rolls. OK, stats like these give an advantage in issues that are rolled, but how to credibly roleplay such a person? Eringard's 18 gives me trouble enough, I guess I will need the DMs help here and there!

So! The game's been going for about two weeks now and I feel like it may be time for a check-in to see how everyone's doing ^^
First let me thank you all for the effort you've put into your characters and the roleplay, the PC's are really what make the game and you've all been playing beautifully. I can't wait to see how the party takes on what I've got planned, who knows you might even survive >:] (kidding, kidding).
I think the pace is clicking along nicely, certainly it's quite speedy and I was hoping for it to be that way until you're into the thick of things proper. Then there'll be plenty of material to play with and we can take a bit more time with it.
Thoughts? Anything you'd like to see more of? Things I could do better?

Gotta say I'm loving the clash between Gimak and Elianna! It's fun.
I'm liking the game so far, very glad I joined..

Gimak also thinks Maria is a liability and Elianna is a Zhent spy, so...
Ironically, it's the two thieves he finds to be most trustworthy/reliable.

Interesting.... We shall see how that turns out shall we?

Anyway, my opinion of the game so far is that it's pretty good. 'Course, we're just getting started. Haven't even really got to Daggerdale yet, which I assume is where the bulk of things are, what with the name of the module and all.
Should be fun to see how (un)coordinated we are together in our first battle.

If you need Seraphina to do anything, just say so. She's not the kind of person for idle conversation. (In case you were wondering why she so rarely speaks, that would be why.)

I'm assuming Seraphina is going to be following Gimak around until stated otherwise?

Gimak sure is noisy for a guy in studded leather armor.
So if I'm understanding your description here, you're saying there's a room filled with debris and a staircase leading up to nothing, as the two top floors have fallen in? Or am I misunderstanding that?

Gotta figure he's got clinking scabbards and belt pouches and such, lots of things to make noise when an adventurer walks! I assume thieves have that sort of thing taken care of without having to specify it, but I do not make that assumption about fighters!
You understand it perfectly. Though you can't quite see what's at the top of the stairs it's safe to assume there are no second and third floors.

Yes. Pretty much.

Oops, looks like I misread Breila's post. That pink text can be hard to read sometimes. I thought Eringard said she would be too distracted with her rituals to bother watching camp.
