CH. 4: Temple of Baerin

Echo picks up the clay jug curiously. "I wonder what this holds," she asks herself.

[JadedDM]

"Hooch, maybe?" Gimog offers.

"Hopefully not," Hollidan says. "I can't image anything brewed by bullywugs would be palpable."

[HorizonsDream]

"Wishful thinking," Echo says as she takes a moment to uncork it to smell at what might be inside.

[JadedDM]

Echo sniffs at the liquid inside, and she remembers the scent from her training. It was the sickly sweet smell of a healing potion.

Echo makes a Spellcraft check [14] (1d20): 14, pass. She recognizes it as a Potion of Healing.

[HorizonsDream]

"It is a healing potion," Echo says as she puts the cork back in the jug. "Which will come in useful."

[JadedDM]

"You should hold on to that," Hollidan suggests. "Well then, I suppose that's it with this room then?"

[HorizonsDream]

"It seems like it," Echo says as she tucks away the jug. "Maybe that burnt door has cooled down by now."

[JadedDM]

"Anything else here you want to look over first?" Gimog asks.

[HorizonsDream]

"I think we have looked in every room here, and everything seems pretty ordinary. We can always come back to it. I could find some uses for the money," she admitted as she turned to walk back to the charred door.

[JadedDM]

The party makes their way back to the charred door. It has indeed cooled, although is still quite blackened, of course.

Echo adds a Potion of Healing to her inventory.

[HorizonsDream]

"Well, if there were any traps on it, I think the fire could have easily destroyed them," Echo comments. "Hollidan, would you do the honors?"

[JadedDM]

Hollidan once again tries to kick the door open, but for the second time, merely bounces off the door in failure.

Hollidan attempts an Open Door check [8] (1d20): 12, fail.

[HorizonsDream]

Echo lets out a sigh. "What if we all try?" she suggests. "Against the combine weight of all of us, it should budge."

[JadedDM]

"There's not really room for all five of us," Hollidan notes. "Maybe two of us, working together, might be able to."

[HorizonsDream]

"Um, you and Gimog then?" Echo suggests. "I'm not exactly the strongest person."
