The Sarcophagus Legion VI

[JadedDM]

"The innkeeper said it was at sundown, right?" Ulster reminds her, as he eats some more of his breakfast.

[Jenara]

"Ooopps, guess I wasn't paying attention!" Locky grins, "Lets go upstairs. We can use our room."

[Jerrard]

At the mention of the show Jerrard lifts his head, glancing at the stage, "Indeed he did, it will be a good show I am told." He nods at Locky and wraps his arms around the Kender and the Gnome.

"Let us work out a plan, and I have no intention of leaving Imani's Son behind." He stands, glancing again at the stage.

[HorizonsDream]

Imani quickly finishes off her breakfast before she stands, and joins the others. "I don't have a specific plan just yet," she says to Babushka. "That is kind of what you guys are for."

After paying for breakfast, the party heads up to Locky's and Babushka's room to speak in private.

Jerrard pays 2 silver.
Imani pays 1 silver.

[Jerrard]

"So." Jerrard says after a few moments of silence, "What are we going to do? I don't want to leave Imani's son where he is, I don't think I could live with myself if we did." Stroking his beard he sits on one of the beds.

"They know what we were trying to do, so. We change it." He glances to the door, then back to the group. "Do we have any suggestions?"

[Breila]

"Hold on. Why do you think the Khan's men know what we want to do? Who did go back to tell him, and what could they know?" Babushka asks. After all, they had killed the vizir and his men... or hadn't they got them all?

[JadedDM]

Thuskar refreshes Babushka's memory on what happened. "After we were captured and staked into the ground, the Vizier sent some of his men back to the palace to report, while the others accompanied him to the temple."

"Oh yes, you're right. I forgot that. The heat seems to have burned holes into my memory." Babushka agrees. "So the Khan knows Syriana was alive and rescued from the Midnight Jackals. But he will think us dead. Or do you think he sent people to look for our bodies when the vizir did not return with the Sarcophagus Legion as planned?"

"That does seem like a safe bet," Ulster says. "It's been a week, and I'm sure the Khan would have sent people to investigate when the vizier never came back."

[Jenara]

"So they know we are coming?" Locky shrugs, she wasn't sure if she wanted to go back to that place, BUT the horse was there, and Imani's son, he sounded fun, so she'd go along for the ride.

"Why don't we just go there and see what happens? I know it sounds silly, but maybe... " She shrugs noncommittally, "Its worth a thought."

[HorizonsDream]

"With the Khan knowing that the vizier is dead, he will probably double or triple is guard. He also probably knows I am after my son, so who knows what type of guard he will put on him," Imani says. "He is devious enough to even try to use my son as a trap to catch us," she points out.

"The invisible thing could still work. As far as I know, the Khan doesn't have a way to detect that kind of thing."

[JadedDM]

"And if he does catch us? I suppose we'll get the Feast of Eyes. Or worse," Thuskar says. "Invisibility isn't good enough. Not unless Jerrard can make all of us, and our animals, invisible indefinitely. Ulster's original plan was to enter Ak-Tubal, then sent an invisible person or two into the palace. But that was before the khan knew we were coming. Now we won't even be able to get into the town. We'll be lucky if we even make it to the town's gates before getting caught by the khan's men."

Thuskar frowns. "If we're going to do this, we need a well-thought out plan." He looks to Locky. "Just showing up and hoping for the best is a great way to get our eyes plucked from our heads. If we can't come up with a plan, then I hate to say it--but it might be better to just leave, and return some other time. The kid's in no danger, and can stand to wait awhile for the heat to die down and for us to find a better way."

[HorizonsDream]

"I would count on torture a lot worse than the feast of eyes," Imani says to Thuskar with a sigh. "And if I leave him there...there is a large chance that when I come back that he won't even know who I am. He probably thinks I'm dead for all I know," she says as she looks down at her hands. "My worst fear is that he turns out to be like his horrible father, and you are asking me to just let it happen," she says. "Doesn't that just make me the worst mother in the world."

[Jerrard]

"You do what you think is best, if you wish to get him, we will support you, if you want to leave him, we'll help." Jerrard does not make a move towards the woman, instead he looks at Babuskha and Locky. "Isn't that right?"
