Locky smiles at the suggestion, who had ever heard of burning Mushrooms? Strange, but if Jerrard wanted Mushrooms... She giggles, when she gets to the top of the slope she jumps in and over the river and grabs a large fungus, chopping it at the base.

(ooc: No idea where he is going with this, but... I'll see what happens.)

It takes ten minutes to climb back up the three hundred foot slope toward the Funghemoth's cavern.

Locky does not really have any 'chopping' implements, as her dagger and hoopak are more for piercing. She proceeds to try chipping away a fragment of fungus instead, but it will take a few minutes.

"Go without me, keep walking and I'll bring a bit over." Locky shouts, as she tries to cut the mushroom with her dagger, wishing she had kept the sword, even if it was rusty.

Once she has some, she will swim back over and join them as fast as her invisible legs can carry her.

It takes about three minutes for Locky to secure a piece of fungus. She brings it back across the river, getting it quite wet (as well as herself, of course) in the process.

Meanwhile, the others wait patiently for her, still unable to see her at all.

Locky taps Babuskha on the shoulder, appearing next to her with a smile, "Here Jerrard, its a little wet, I don't know why you want it." Locky passes the Mushroom and looks back at Babuskha.

Jerrard takes the suddenly appearing fungus, the fear slowly rising in his mind, he manages to push back the fear, but shakes never the less. Feeling it is soaking wet he shakes his head, "I should have known better." He mutters speaking a few words of magic the Mushroom heats up, then dries (Dry Cantrip).

Babushka quietly holds out her hand to take the mushroom, to alleviate Jerrard's fear, and if he hands it to her, she'll ask Ulster to try to light it.

Ulster shrugs and uses the torch to light the mushroom. It takes a few moments before it starts to burn, and the light it gives off is nowhere near as bright, but it does work.

"OK, so we do have a light source. I suggest we all cross the river. Ulster, you can collect a number of mushrooms, maybe the rusted sword is still good enough to cut them, and than we proceed on that side of the river. Could one of you men please carry my pack across? You can wade, but I have to swim, and I don't like to have everything wet in my pack."

Jerrard grins, "Babuskha my dear, if Ulster takes my pack I will happily carry you!" He grins, the thought of crossing the river, seeing those plants. Anything he could do might take his mind off it.

"The idea is good." he smiles.

"OK" Babushka smiles up at Jerrard and waits for him to set his pack down. Then she lifts her hands and jumps up as a child would do, crossing her hands behind his neck and snuggling close. "Feels good." she says.

"Umm, yes it is." Jerrard says slightly uncomfortably, wrapping his arms around her back he pulls her in and smiles. "Come on then, lets get you over my dear."

He grunts slightly, then hoists her weight through the river ensuring neither her, or her pack get wet. He glances over at Ulster, if only so he doesnt have to look at the approaching plants.

Babuskha can sense he is tensing up, his muscles go tight as he pulls her very close to him.

Fear check. 1d20=12 pass, just.

Ulster raises an eyebrow at Babushka and Jerrard as he accepts the gnome's pack. "Right...well...off we go, then."

The party crosses the river again, Jerrard only just able to keep his fear in check. Once over, they start collecting mushrooms. Ulster uses his (or rather, Elvenoff's) long sword and he loans Babushka the rusty one. To the ranger's surprise, the rusted sword cuts through the mushrooms quite efficiently.

After collecting about a dozen of them over a period of five minutes, the party is ready to move on. It takes another ten minutes to descend back down the cavern to reach the foyer with the two doors again.

Locky giggles watching Babuskha cuddle Jerrard, "How cute." She says to herself preparing to head down the ramp.

She takes the lead once more, walking slowly, until they reach the doors once more.

"Are you coming in?" She asks Bab with an invisible grin, tickling her arm.

"Don't worry," Babushka says to Jerrard. "Ulster burned all of the pods inside."

The room still stinks of the burned pods. There's a large pile of ash in the corner, but this does nothing to trigger Jerrard's unnatural fear.

To the south, the small room opens up into a hallway. The hallway extends west and east, although the eastern path is blocked by the river. The river is moving far too fast to cross safely. There's also another, smaller room to the south. Looking inside, it appears to be some old storage room, full of jars and shelves.
