"Let's run back! We can't defend ourselves here!" Babushka whispers urgently into Locky's ear and starts running back, casting a look over her shoulder after a few feet to see if Locky follows.

Elvenoff turns and heads for the two podmen that are south of them. He believes that he maybe able to dispatch the two that are not effected my the wizard's spell. "I will take these two." He shouts as he prepares for battle. Pulling his shield for these podmen he advances.

Locky is unable to find any traps in the area. Then she and Babushka retreat back to the prisoner cavern. The fungal staff tied around the gnome's wrist unties itself, straightens, and hardens into a proper staff, anticipating the battle.
Shay is surprised to see them back so soon. "That was quick. Did you find something?" he asks.

Stepping forward, Elvenoff swings his blade at one of the podmen, but it ducks to avoid it. Wailing, Thuskar throws himself at the other podman, ready to fight with his bare fists. But the podman merely knocks him to the ground as it passes by.
The third podman counterattacks, grabbing Elvenoff by the left shoulder. However, when it swings to punch him with its other fists, it slips and falls, letting go of the paladin in the process.
The fourth podman, after knocking down Thuskar, goes after Jerrard. It grabs hold of him with one hand, and swings with the other. But Jerrard is able to avoid the blow, thankfully.
During the scuffle, the Shroom makes a reappearance at the south door, having apparently worked his way around. Quickly casting a spell, he points to the prone podman, who suddenly begins to grow to over 9 and a half feet tall!

"Please do not be alarmed, but I think Podmen are coming." Locky says as they arrive back at the cavern, he face does not seem worried, but her voice has an edge of concern not usually noted.
"We should hide and jump out at them, its called the element of surprise isnt it? They wont expect us to be in this room." She lines up many stones in front of her, and gets ready to fire them, hiding in the shadows (if any exist)

"Damn," Shay says. He pulls out a couple of flasks of lantern oil. "Well, it worked with the trees." He tries to get into position and hide, as well.

Preparing for the ambush, the three had no idea how badly hidden they were.
A few moments later, the splashing of the footsteps could be heard. In a single file, podmen started to file in to the room. The first one hesitated, having seen the 'hidden' combatants. Without waiting, Shay throws the all ready lit flask over its head. It smashes into the next podman in line, covering it and the two next to it with burning oil and splashing lightly the fourth one in line.
"Hey, that sure makes them easier to see," Ulster comments before firing twice from his cage. The first arrow bounces off the cavern wall. Adjusting his aim more carefully the second time, the arrow pierces the podman's head like a melon. It collapses into the river, ironically putting out the flames licking its green skin.

With a whirling sound, Locky flings two stones forward from her hoopak. Both strike their targets in the chests, but the burning podmen are not so easily slain.

Babushka fires her sling, striking the podman right in the face with a wet, thickening crunch. It falls into the river, putting out the flames slowly consuming its body.
The remaining four podmen surge out of the tunnel and quickly surround the party, attempting to grab them.
One goes for Locky, one that is still on fire, and grabs her left arm. It swings its other fist, but the kender is able to dodge. The flames licking its skin start to go out.
The next goes for Babushka. It misses with the first hand, but grabs her left arm with the second.
The third one grabs Shay by his left arm. However, it then slips in the water of the river, falling to the ground and letting go of the thief in the process.
The last one goes for Locky, too. Despite being held by the burning podman, she is still able to avoid both hands of this one.
