Hi, guys.
I hope you guys are enjoying the game so far. I know I am. (If you're not, then you should probably say something...)
Anyway, I've made mention of my other gaming group in passing before. We game on OpenRPG, a chat program. Currently, we're running through the original Dragonlance modules (the ones the Chronicle novels are based on). We are just wrapping up DL1 (Dragons of Despair), and the party is about to face Onyx, the black dragon in Xak Tsaroth.
When finished, we'll be starting DL2 (Dragons of Flame), the next in the series. If any of you three have Tuesday evenings free, consider yourselves formally invited to join us. I only have two players at the moment, which means I'm NPCing the rest of the group. Five characters is a lot to juggle, so having more players would help reduce the heavy lifting for me.
We meet every Tuesday (or try to) on OpenRPG, usually at around 5-6 PM Pacific and playing for 4-5 hours. The three of you (Jerrard, Jenara, and Breila) have all proven yourselves to me as good and reliable roleplayers, so if you have the time and the desire to join, we'd be happy to have you.
Any questions, feel free to ask. We are using 2E rules, plus a few house rules of my own. If you aren't interested or don't have the time, don't worry about it. I understand.

Pacific time is what, GMT-8? That'd start the game at 2-3 AM for me, and regrettably no, that can't be done.

I wish I could, *Curses herself for not living in the US* The time is all wrong for me... *Pouts*

Oh, man. I'm such an idiot. I completely forgot. All three of you are outside of the US, aren't you? Ahh, it's true what they say about us yanks, isn't it? We are quite ethnocentric.
That's too bad. Especially since, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe Breila has actually read the Chronicles novels, yes? So it would all be fresh and new to her.
Hmm, actually...now that I am unemployed and have waaaaay too much time on my hands, I suppose I could start up a second forum game and run the original Dragonlance modules. Assuming I could garner enough interest in the endeavor, at any rate.

Dammit, I'm in 6 games, which takes lots of my time, honestly too much of my time, and then after all that I don't think I give them enough of me!!
Granted two are going slow for one reason or another....
I have turned down a game already...
But, then you suggest this... Do you have any idea how much I love this idea?
Talyn is up for this too.

Haha, sorry. I know how you feel. I'm actually in five pbps myself, but 'Pod-Caverns' is the only one I consider to be active.
It's kind of funny. You had to practically twist my arm to get me to agree to run this game. Now I'm offering to start up a second, even bigger game.
I'll put up a post in the recruitment forum, see how much interest it generates.

Hehe, got you hooked haven't I?
I forget how many the min players are for those modules, but I know Talyn has called Rastlin!! lol.
Now... The only female character in the orignal group is goldmoon, who I really don't get on with her... I had an affinity with Tanis (did always fancy Laurana)
I'll post it at Mass too, see who bites..

Well, if I do decide to use the pre-gens, that is one problem there, as you point out. There's only one woman in the original group, Goldmoon. However, I can just introduce Laurana and Tika earlier than intended and let them be playable, for the sake of gender equality. Both are designed to become playable in the second module, Dragons of Flame (DL2). I'll just let them be playable right from the start. Tika is introduced in DL1 anyway. As for Laurana, we can just have her show up at the tavern with the others (perhaps looking for her Tanthalas?) and wind up joining their group.

Oh, I believe Jerrard has approached the wheel and now we are waiting on your response.
Am I posting enough in this game? Please tell me if I am not

All three of you are doing great. Like I said, this is by far the most active (and consequently fun) game I'm apart of at the moment. You guys are making good progress and have nearly cleared the entire first level of this dungeon. Keep it up!

Ok, big sorry.
Jerrards been away, and I have had the mother of all projects to deal with (transfer of all bridge asests from one system to another,
so rewriting and understanding over 2500 entries in SQL.... that link to x10 that amount of additional data..
Hence, come friday, really wasn't up for posting!
So, post shall be forthcoming...!

Breila wrote:"And I don't believe the treasure belonged to this creature here, who think it was forced into service by the villain who created all this, to guard his treasure."
It was more of a comment about why creatures that can't use treasure amass it!
In older adventures (which this is styled on) Creatures had treasure for no reason.
I think I like the idea that this was just a guardian though.
