Searos snickers a bit as Gunter face-shields to the ground but otherwise says nothing as he calmly walks down the corridor.

"Are you well?" Brax asks Amon offering her hand to the Mage, she walks down the steps with ease, "It seems your assessment of yourself was rather accurate." She says totally deadpan.
Glancing both ways she nods in agreement of what she see's, "I have had an interesting thought, Pelor showed me the actions of Gunter, not any of you... but in my Vision Gunter did not fall, I wonder what else might change?" Mace in hand she ponders the thought, looking to the barricade, is she close enough to see it clearly?

Gunter picks himself up, muttering to himself about new fish.
"Well, if your vision was wrong already we probabky shouldn't rely too much on it. Searos, do you think you could creep a little closer to get a better look at the barricade and see if it's rigged?"

"Indeed, although the sticky substance on the barricade interests me, oil perhaps?" She ponders, "Left or right?"

"Leave it to Amon to trip on his own robes," Echo says, sounding somewhat amused.

"Yes, remind me to wear something a tad more practical next time," Amon says, hiking up the hem of his robe as much as he can.

Kim smiles at Amon's comment, but says nothing. Indeed, wizards were not required to wear robes...
The barricade has been erected just at the limit of their torchlight. It seems to be made of barrels and driftwood. Here and there, it reflects the torchlight as if it was wet. A faint whiff of alcohol - whiskey probably - is carried with the draft.

"I would say we were expected." Brax comments as she looks down the cavern.
Turning the otherway she looks into the large cavern.

In the torchlight, it is just visible that the cavern is larger than the passage they are in.
As Brax turns her back to the torch and approaches its lighting limits, her half-drow vision allows her to get an idea of the chamber. The ceiling is just slightly higher than the passage's (8 feet (2,40m) instead of 7 (2,10m)), the walls are curved, with horizontal marks as if they had been carved with a gigantic spoon with rough edges. Unlike the passage, which has a rock floor, the cavern's floor seems to be made of tightly packed gravel and sand. The darkness in the rear end is a little darker to the left, there might be a passage out or just a recess. In some places, there are growths on the ceiling and walls, probably where water seeps out, in the far corner, there might be a wet spot.

Searos inches forward to check out the barricade to see what it is and almost can't help but lick his lips at the smell of whiskey.

The further Searos goes, the less light he has, so he can't see much more than before. However, his keen sense of smell tells him it is not only whiskey that has been poured over the barrels and driftwood that make up the rather crude barricade.
(ooc: how close does he go? Is he upright or crouching?)

Searos carefully walks about to about 15 feet in front of the barricade stooping slightly and peering into the darkness.

(OOC: You are at only little more than 15 feet, this is torchlight radius, you wouldn't see the barricade otherwise. However, I'll let you approach closer with impunity

)
As Searos walks forward, his foot slips slightly on some wet sand lying on the rocky floor that slopes gently downward. He doesn't fall, but the raspy sound will give his approach away if anyone listens. As the scent of the whiskey gets stronger, he suddenly realizes it must be mixed with oil.
The darkness beyond the barricade is just that: darkness. Unless someone comes with a torch or lantern, Searos can't see beyond.
Searos attempts to move silently:
82, fail
He makes a wisdom check to find out what is mixed to the whiskey
2, success

Vee follows Searows. "Why is that barricade here? I can't imagine that something important is lying here. It's cold ans wet, not the best place for something valuable!" Vee watches strained in the darkness. "Can somebody with a torch come here? We can't see anything!"

"Interesting, this appeared to be a natural cavern, I suppose the shape was formed by the sea, which I assume is nearby." She looks closely and then turns around. "Are we going that way then?" She asks Amon and Echo, watching Vee and Searos head to the barrier..
"There is something about that Barrier." She says frowning, the Foresight wasn't clear, but they never were.
