"That said, perhaps one of us could stay behind and keep an eye on the house covertly to see if there's any movement. I've spent my life in the woods and can conceal myself so I'm willing to do this, but I need someone to give me healing in case things go bad."

"I can't believe that you strong and brave adults want to leave! Scaredy cats!" Vee says, focusing kim.

"Do I need to repeat myself, Miss Veelayana?" Kim's voice is ice-cold.

"Mage Kim, with all do respect, nobody has placed you in charge of this group, nor are any of us obligated to do what you command," Amon points out, puzzled by the strange person's sudden personality shift.

Gunter points at the sizable gashes on his body.

"Even strong ones bleed, little one."

Echo digs out her own healing potion, and hands it over to Gunter. "If he plans on staying, then I plan on staying," Echo says. "Otherwise, if I leave, I'll just go to my father, have him call out the town guards and let them handle it. Though, if that happens, no one gets any of the riches that might or might not be in this house and no one gets the tiny bit of fame that comes with helping out a town," she points with a shrug.

"Then take this too." Brax says with a smile. "I have a suggestion. Those who are not fit to continue wait here, we will ensure no one attacks from behind. The rest of you scout ahead?"

"Please allow me to ask Pelor for guidance."

(casts foresight. Will discuss later.)

Gunter accepts the potion with a smile and uncorks it.

"Ahhh that's good stuff...thank you lady mage. I think Brax has a sound plan and those who stay back to rest can watch our backs if we need to beat a hasty retreat."

1d8+1 = 6hp

Searos seems really confused by the back and forth. "Umm, did I ever say I was brave or strong or anything like that? I like being alive... and I don't really get why the two rookies are so incredibly judgmental on this point. Nor do I really get whats up with all the threats coming from chills over here. Some of us got kinda beat up already." Searos points at the large electrical burn on his body as a for instance. "So, if you want to keep going, give me one of those healing potions and help out the cleric. That might be more helpful than bringing in the town guard or running to daddy, ya feel me?"

Amon un-shoulders his backpack, digs around in it, and then finds the potion he is looking for. He hands it to Searos, then puts his pack back on. After a bit of thought, he realizes the thief's words have merit. "I suppose everyone is a tad testy after everything that's happened in this mansion. It's not quite what any of us were expecting."

(OOC: That should restore 2d4+2 HP, MM.

Also, while I'm sure everyone is quite tired of me being 'that guy,' I just can't help myself. Isn't Foresight a 9th level Wizard spell? It's in the PHB.)

Kim looks at Amon, a little taken aback. "I'm sorry this came across as an order. It wasn't meant to. I was just annoyed that Miss Vee would make exactly the same remark as Miss Echo. I am very worried and tense, perhaps this explains the wrong choice of tone and perhaps wording." Kim gives a little bow.

Amon nods. "As I said, we are all rather stressed. It's odd to think that only just yesterday, the biggest problem I ever had to worry about was whether to have red or white wine with my dinner."

Kim starts to laugh, but quickly stifles it. "Welcome to real life, then, mage Amon."

(OOC: please state what you are planning to do. Who wants to stay behind and secure the retreat, who wants to pass the secret door? Where is everybody when the door is opened?)

Brax eyes Amon Curiously, "Indeed, welcome."

(Brax stays to the back, by the closest two beds, mace in hand, not really able to do much now)
