Angel simply nods for a moment, agreeing with Galanis she snaps out of it.

"Throw him over his horse, Ari can you lead it? Mahgus you do what you do. Everyone let's head to the Villa. Eyes open this time. And I'll do the same.".
" Kid never learned to clear a room. Doors and corners, I told him. Doors and corners."

"Whoa, whoa whoa - you can not just throw him over a horse like a sack of grain. Look at him. We will need a litter, or something," Egg says. "I mean, unless we want him dead."

"We don't have time for this.." Angel murmurs under her breath, "Ok, guard him, Liri with me we'll get to the Villa and come back and get him." She suggests trying to regain her calm, calm that this boy was beginning to damage.

"Ok, get him moving " Angel decides waiting on the others to get the Boy ready to move her eyes scanning the horizon.

The villa gate is difficult to open, as before, but after a moment there is help from inside, as the boy, Patric, heir to the place, begins removing the bracing from inside. He clears the lumber and stands aside to let the group enter.
Once the gate is open, Maughus heads off to retrieve his pony.

Vani moans and gags when Galanis tries to lift him, and there seems to be no good way to do so due to the two arrows in his back. Egg arrives a moment later with some boards from the gate. After slipping the boards under the young priest, the two are able to lift him and carry him inside.

Seeing the condition of the house and courtyard, Vida lets out a quiet sob and presses her face against Praesul's neck. The horse, for his part, seems to be sympathetic, and rubs his face against her shoulder.

Patric approaches Vida and says: "I know you. You are the altrix for the child of Domina Cippa. You are welcome here. Is the baby well?"
Dida nods, unable to speak.
"That is good.
"And the rest of you, you may stay the night here. And may bury that one when he passes."
"No matter where you go, there you are."

Angel leads the group Inside with dignity, only helping Dida off Praesuls back when she feels able..

"It's bad, but they live. You know that things could be worse." Squeezing the girls arm she looks at the baby with the first sign of interest. "You did well, be proud of yourself."

"Thank you, we found the house ransacked, we rescued them and brought them to you. She kept her head." Bowing to the girl she grins.
" Kid never learned to clear a room. Doors and corners, I told him. Doors and corners."

[OOC] My mistake. I thought we spoke about whether it would work, but that Ari never specifically took the action (thought that was what the "LOL" meant). But I can fix that. Minor time warp starting in 3...2...1...[/OOC]

Ari takes a knee next to the prone acolyte, raises his hammer and begins the incantation for a minor healing spell. He extends his hammer to touch the boy and feels something wrong, a resistance, similar to what one feels when pushing two magnets together. As the hammer moves closer, there is a small burst of deep red sparks between the hammer and the acolyte's skin, raising the distinct smell of ozone and burnt blood. The spell fades away, leaving the hammer feeling cold in Ari's hand.

Egg arrives with a pair of boards, and finds Ari staring at his hammer. "Come on. Grab and end," he says.

[OOC] We now return you to our regularly scheduled adventure. [/OOC]

"She can stay here until this is settled," the Patric says. "The raiders missed a little bit of our food. Not much remains, but we will make it stretch to feed one more, slave or no." He sounds brave, but he fails to offer to feed anyone other than Dida. Such a breach of hospitality either means that he does not know any better, or that the food situation is dire and that there is not enough food to go around.
