Chapter 1 - Waterdavian Affairs

[Jenara]

"Madame. You find me at a loss... Such things are beyond a simple cleric. I raise my hands... You have called my bluff." She turn to the woman and sighs. "My lady. I respectfully choose to step away." She moves to stand. "Nix, could you discuss this matter with the lady." If unchallenged she moves to leave the room, her heart racing

Nix stands with her, whispering quietly, Hey, you ok? Sorry, i kind of zoned out after the, um... the call from my... you know... listen, you just relax, i'll take over here, ok?

Making sure she is alright, Nix turns back and blushes brightly. Clearing his throat he addresses the woman. I'm sorry for the trouble. We... umm.. she... Taking a breath, he gathered himself. She had been wanting to do something.. umm... 'special' for us and i think perhaps the reality of it hadn't quite settled in yet. Umm... you see, the place was mentioned in passing by an acquaintance of our guardsman... but, well i think you can see the timing isn't quite right just now.

Turning to glance at Sue he goes on, Of course, he may still be interested in something, but i think for the moment we are... ummmm... Nix tapers off

Not saying another word Alecia leaves the room..

The Matchmaker smiles understandingly as Alecia and then Nix leave the room.

Her attention turns to Sue, "What service would you require, Goodsir? A match for a partner in life, often a lifestyle change? Or social or recreational requirements?" She pauses, then asks, "Forgive my directness, but will your masters be giving you the key to their account? Or will you be joining in your own right?"

[Jenara]

(I believe Nix remains)

[... I wasn't intending for nix to leave the room.]

There is a key. Nix says, suddenly recalling the marked key.

[I forget who has it. If Nix does he will produce it]

"Ah the plot thickens." Sue will say under his breath.

Nix cuts an inconspicuous glance at Sue to hoprfully keep extraneous comments from spoiling the ruse.

The Matchmaker keeps a professional smile in place throughout and waits, fingers interlaced, for her customers to sort out their requirements.

Nix passes the key to the half-orc. He is welcome to use it when we don't have need of his guard=services. Nix says.

On seeing the key the matchmaker spreads her arms expansively and comments, "Thank you," as she takes the key. "Just the formality of account verification, if you please. Account name?"

(Three tries allowed and then she retains the key.)

[He wasnt giving it to her. Did she snatch it?]

[Chris1234]

Retrofit then:
The moonelf holds out her hand and says, "I need to examine that, if you please, Gentlesir."

Nix quirks an eyebrow, but hands it to her. [Assuming she says the same thing as before] He gives the half-orc a small smile. Let's see if you can puzzle out the password...
