Act 1, Scene 1: "Through the Undergrowth" (Main Game Thread)

"Well, not that that is over with." Nocturno will rub his hands like he is dusting them off.

"We should probably setup camp, where we can observe anyone coming into the cave, but still be undetected."

Arac accepts the thanks and the dagger with a grin. Thanks! I'll just borrow this for now. You can have it back when i get back home to my spare equipment. And once we find camp i'll take you up on that brandy, i think.

Several of the former captives begin to voice concerns staying anywhere near the goblin cave. Most of them seem to want to get as far away as possible.

[Jenara]

"We should head to the forest. You will be safe in my domain." A voice calls from above, anyone looking up would see the form of Katten resting casually against a tree, bow at the ready with an arrow notched. "Once you've rested you will all feel better."

[ausie]

"I don't think I can move far Kat...., but I agree... Let's push on... even a half mile from here will be good.."

Garroth attempts to stand and slowly makes it to his feet... Then using his Maul as a crutch begins to slowly shuffle along.

[Jenara]

Choosing to ignore the "Kat" Statement for the time being Katten growls slightly and waits for the group to catch up. "We wait a short while, get your breath back." winking at Dillosel she leans against the tree once more.

[ausie]

(DM... Garroth will push himself until he is physically unable to go any further.. I'll make some
CON rolls on US and you can decide how far that is...)

Having heard some of the conversation and seeing the Feliz standing by the tree with her bow at the ready, Jordek maintains his concealment but calls out in elvish "Don't shoot!" almost as an afterthought he adds "I bear a message from Signa"
If Katten eases off her bow, he will cautiously reveal himself and hand over the object along with the words "I sure hope you know what this thing means"
He then raises his voice to carry and loudly cries "LEAVE THE SQUIRRELS ALONE!" and slowly backs away...

Katten lowers her bow, places it in the quiver and frowns. (I assume you mean to hand the object to Katten?).

Jumping down the out cropping she takes the item and raises an ear as Dran growls rather loudly​ in his direction.

"You come from Signa?" She asks .

Katten accepts the object. It seems to be a small, hollow ball made of fine, clean intricately inter-twining roots. There appears to be no beginning nor end do the piece, and he could almost swear the roots were still quick with life. She has never seen one, but her "Guardian" training tells her what she needs to know... it is a "Key" to allow others to reach a sacred glade that they would not otherwise be able to.

(I did mean to give it to Katten yes)

"I come from my home." he replies to Katten. "the message came from Signa"
His main focus is going to turn now to the young wolf that growled in his direction. (Does he understand the intent behind the growl Tristen?) He attempts to give greeting to the wolf.

The wolf is being protective of the cat-ranger. Jordek can see that she has a small wound, and the wolf is injured as well.
The 2 foot-tall black haired figure with nut-brown skin greets the canine Dran cautiously. The young wolf sniffs him, ruffling the hair and checking his unusual garb and scattered appearance. Finally Dran relaxes, but remains near the Felis ranger.

"You tell the truth, only Signa would give this. I am called Nesserrr." She inclines her head to the tiny creature, "Elves call me Katten, never Kat." her eyes flash at Garroth for a brief moment. "Dran knows I am his Alpha, he not attack unless he defends me.

"We go to somewhere special." She regards the Men and the haflings with a worried glance, "I take you to this place, it help you all. This place special, secret of Forest. I trust you, but this Key it hides the path, you will feel the beauty of the forest, but without help you will never be able to return there." Stroking Dran gently her voice calm and relaxed.

"Squirells?" She asks after a few moments of silence. "Small furry pests?" It looks to the small man she might be trying to smile, but her enlarged canines give her the appearance of sizing up her next meal. "Not enough meat, Dran like to chase them."
