[Knowing goblins as she does, she would know: A Worg is an evil offshoot of dire-wolves with intelligence above that of normal animals. Animal empathy also omly works on 'natural' animals, so it won't work for Worgs.]

Van will attempt to get Garroth's attention, snap him out of his unconscious state.

"Garroth! Hey! I need to confess something- your sister and I are in love. We're tired of hiding it! Wake up, friend!"

Van will fan at him with the end of his sleeve. Put some water on his lips... the whole nine yards.

OOC: If there is something in Garroth's backstory that contradicts what Van should know outright, please let me know.

After stowing the bow, Linar pulls out his swords and tries to dispatch the goblin in Katten' s way.

[Ok, we're at the 3-day mark, so...]

With his mother no longer under attack, Dran holds back. Katten slashes at the goblin, but misses badly. Linar moves up to support and cuts the final threat down with a vicious blow. Van tries to revive Garroth, but ultimately realizes some kind of healing would be necessary first. Elden continues to cover the elf, in case the goblin who fled returns.

In the corner, the unarmed goblin tries to wrestle the short sword away from his prisoner attacker. The young man gets the upper hand and stabs him deep in the gut. That was for Renna. he growls at the dying goblin.

The half-elven woman, calls out with an air of authority, We have to kill that Worg before it recovers! Nobody fights it alone, understood!? One of the young human prisoners takes the short sword the halfling dropped and tosses it to her. Take this one, Eariel! He quickly grabs up the sword Linar's victim dropped. For bordertown. he says in salute. The other human salutes as well, We're ready, seargent. he says to the half-elf woman.

A voice from the south passage calls out above the din, Arac! Arac where are you? The bleeding halfling prisoner looks up. Hamart!? By the shady glade, is that you?!

"You wish to kill it, that I understand. I take point." she re-strings her bow as she walks, "I shoot from a distance, take them by suprise, then you help kill."

An arrow notched she pats her chest, "Nesserr, guardian of Forest." When the group is ready she passes the Mana water to Van and moves along the passage.

[Nocturno]

"I'll take the goblin. Katten the worg. The rest stab once we get their attention."

"Worg is a wolf. Salem and I have hunted wolves before. We will lend a hand if you good folk have no objection." That said, he drops Salem's saddlebags and the bundle of hides tied to the saddle to lighten the boar's load, and returns to the saddle, spear and shield in hand.

"Want me with you, Katten?" asks Linar as he pats down the shaman and then has a squint for any of his arrows.

Van will continue to stabilize Garroth. The elf has no healing prof- just trying to keep the minotuar from bleeding out. Applying pressure and all.

Nocturno does a double take at the dwarf/boar combo. Then continues in.

felling his wound more now that the battle has somewhat subsided he sits next to the elf "is our big friend her ok?"

The Halfling prisoner, apparently named Arac, rummages through the pouch of the dead goblin guardsman. He quickly comes up with a steel key and unlocks the clasp at the end of his chain. The prisoners quickly slip the chain through their shackle rings and free themselves. Another halfiing man rushes in beside the newly arrived Boyd and gives Arac a stout hug, at which the freed small-folk groans in pain a little. Easy there, that damn goblin tried to use me for a pincushion.

Linar stoops down to inspect the Shaman’s body, but it has continued to smolder since his death. The skin has blackened and a definite heat has begun to radiate from it. He might be able to search it if he is quick, but it seems about to burst into flames any instant! He glances about for arrows, but in the mixed lighting and with others milling about he can’t spot any immediately.

The others free themselves quickly; Eariel responding to the feliz ranger. Eariel Ala’irian, Sargent at arms of the settlement of Bordertown. she nods in greeting as the two young human men join her. These are privates Hew and Tag, soldiers under my command. The young men salute, now freed from their chains. The wild elven women snatching up spears and taking a spot next to each other in the corner; eyes warily searching everywhere. One of them looks to kitten oddly, almost as if she had seen her before; though Katten cannot immediately place her.

Boyd divulges his mount of the burden of luggage before arming himself and re-mounting. A quick glance reveals to him that there are no dwarves among the slaves… The other prisoners back away from the northern passages, content to leave the final fight to those better armed. Both those passages north lead to the same place, the injured Halfling says. Kak’s den lies beyond there… the passage to the west is wider but it curves a bit… There’s no way out that I know of, so they’re backed into a corner now… be careful… Kak is vicious when he’s mad…
