Act 1, Scene 1: "Through the Undergrowth" (Main Game Thread)

"What a mess! How about some recon? I can disquise myself as one of these... things and scope out these tunnels."

OOC: Did we get the runner?

"If you can look like a goblin and speak the goblin language then, if you can remember to stop perpetually talking, that has merit," replies Linar quietly.

[Jenara]

"Jy praat Kabouter?" Katten asks Van as she checks her arrows. (Did any survive?)

[Sol Mazer]

Van will mantain his clandestine, whisper voice... a hushed quiet comes from him to Linar.

"Linar... Lin okay? Lin- you seem stressed. 'Look like a goblin speak like a goblin then'.... 'then' what? I should do it? You okay? You want to talk about it?"
Van will give Linar the ol' "It's going to be okay..." look. Think Guidance Counselor talking to a pre-teen.

"Lin, just let me know if you want to have that chat." Looking around, "Anyone seen the dwarf we ran into? Did he come down here?" Van will blaze his light around the cave. "Garroth... if you could see yourself in this cave; damnit Minotaur- you look huge in here!"

To Katten, "It doesn't appear so... I'm no Cleric, but it seems the sleeping ones won't be getting up soon."

Van will adjust his light for half shielded...

(To clarify I asked if any of her arrows survived, the words she spoke were in goblin)

"Oh! The arrows! I'm no archer either.... uh.... No?" *holds up two clearly broken arrows* "Maybe use these for parts? Paste? Anyone have paste? That mending spell I see some mages doing- that would be the best. If ony we had a Mage... Or a Wizard!"

Van will hand the arrow pieces over to Katten. "Best not to use these... They may not fly true." The elf gives her a reassuring wink,

Linar takes a couple of steps and cuts the throat of one of the unconscious goblins, then begins searching its pockets. He comes up with a couple of silver pieces from the one he most recently killed. Meanwhile Nocturno arms himself and guards the north passage where he hears more goblins preparing to attack

Katten hears goblins arguing to the north but cannot make out what they're saying from where she is with the conversation going on.

The two with little Zs are unconscious only...

Linar steps to the nearer unconscious goblin and dispatches it and then a quick look on the creature for anything useful (keys, coins, rings, maps etc)

Make that 1 unconscious now, Linar just killed one.

Katten's flare arrows did not survive (they never do if lit). Her opponent died before her normal arrows were fired, so they're fine.

"You all rush into combat before ranged combat finished... ". Garroth shakes his head as he regathering His spent daggers and heads toward the North while Nocturno and Linar dispatch unconscious goblins..

[Jenara]

"Be quiet!" Katten shouts in a loud whisper! "NOW!" Moving as close as she can you the north knowing Dran will stay with her, and collecting her arrows at the same time.

Linar steps to the remaining unconscious goblin and, facing north-ish, dispatches it
Unless interrupted he then a quick look on the creature for anything useful (keys, coins, rings, maps etc).

[Nocturno]

Nocturno mostly rolls his eyes at the chatter and watches the passage clearly blocking access.

Garroth arrived earlier... approaching silently after softly voicing his one-line discontent.

(He did not stop to finish sleepin goblins, so will maintain his spot behind Katten to the North.)

His spot is in melee, and there was no point throwing knives if everyone was going to run in front of him.. As it was, he was fortunate not to have skewered Linar or Nocturno with one of his knives... the way they charged into combat when arrows and knives were still being used was just crazy...

When everything is quiet Katten will listen once more.

Garroth will sniff quietly as Katten listens...

OOC: For all to consider: given Katten's question, Van's replies, and the fact that I just rechecked my character sheet, fellow adventurers may safely assume Van does NOT know goblin. The replies are all the better-> perfect!

IC: Van will quietly move to the back... Pointing to his staff light as if to say, "On? Off?"
