Act 1, Scene 1: "Through the Undergrowth" (Main Game Thread)

[Nocturno]

Seeing Signa leave and the other elf talking to the drow, Nocturno will sigh and fall into line. His mind on ending this goblinoid threat.

He will turn the trinket around in one hand and have his other on his sword hilt. Cursing his choice of armour, hoping he can blend in. This felt so different than the patrols around Misan.

[ausie]

(Garroth only has a -2 bonus to his surprise checks. So will take right flank or rear if you have the front.)

[Jenara]

"Dran. We move." She starts to head into the woods, following the trail she found earlier, not waiting she assumes the others would arrange themselves, she was no leader, hopefully someone was.

[Sol Mazer]

Van stays right on her tail- no pun intended. The Elf moving with choreographed fluidity that would be unseeming in any but a High Elf. His robes flowing as a kind of streak of motion- trails of where he was with a leading edge of where he is going.

"Katten! Nessy! We can blaze ahead, but into what? Are you familiar with this land? Aren't there pitfalls to be wary of?"

As if to punctuate the concern, Van will spy a root he is about to step on. He will twirl with a flourish to avoid it. His staff a blur to position is balance as needed.

[ausie]

"Vani!" Garroth calls mutely.

"Stay back here with us... This is Katten's land.. It is her responsibility and she is familiar with it.. We will follow her at a respectful 60' For anyone to travel with her at the lead would reduce her capabilities in her own demense... You are insulting her with you blundering about... and embarrassing yourself..."

[Jenara]

(I never said she was leaving. Just said she was getting ready. Waiting on you all to set yourselves up in an order)

[Sol Mazer]

"Thank the gods! Someone saw that... I appreciate that we all feel compelled to be as serious as possible- but we are only just starting out. Surely we can get to know more about each other than formality of names? See here! I've talents with the arcane- Illusions to be more precise. I also have some experience with metals and jewelry. And if we are to have a Leader, I'm for the Drow. He's obviously had more experience than us at close scrapes; and a Cleric no less! Diplomacy, level headedness, and a knack for getting free of oppression. Unless my ideas of the Drow are wrong- there must be a tale worth the telling, good Cleric!"

Seeing how some have backed up to rear positions... Van will call them forward. "Oi! You all, why so far from the group? Come forward... Looking at you all I can tell you've shed as much blood as I have: none! So let's not spend time pretending how tough we are. Like a pack of dwarves I saw at the Tower. Gar, remember the bunch? Too proud to ask for help, no interest in lending a book, never borrowing a book... and at the end, less mage and more dwarf than when they started."

"Let's have an order... Ness in lead- Gar is right, good call. Let's have her supported by our Cleric. Good? Lin, right? Lin be ready to pray or negotiate. You never know. Gar, I think you next... your height lets you see over the lead. Behind you... well... Talents anyone?"

Van will look to the quiet ones, "I see weapons... can you use them?"

[Nocturno]

Rolling his eyes Nocturno will chime in.

"I am here representing Misan. A devout follower of Corellon Larethian, I am skilled in Martial and Divine practices. I am sworn to protect my Community in all ways. I was hanging back so my clinking armour does not ruin our scouts chance at stealthy-ness."

[Sol Mazer]

"Grand! Good thinking on the armor. We have two for Corellon Larethian! Fantastic; surely a sign! I will march with you... We could compare notes. Perhaps we know the same families... Your name isn't familiar to me, but perhaps something will ring a bell as we converse on our journey."

Van will claps his hands, "Guess we shall move on... anyone else have ideas on the march? It's shaping up nicely."

[Jenara]

Katten shakes her head, Spisse, always talking.. some knew when to be quiet.

Turning she lowers her arms, and turns back heading into the undergrowth, Dran forging a path alongside her.

[Nocturno]

"Alright, but let's keep up." This one reminded him of his little cousin Sarth.

[Sol Mazer]

"Indeed... indeed. I won't slow us... Gar is a friend and I would like to be of use to his well being." Van will keep pace and speak in more hushed tones. His movements will be more natural and not the attention getting mess of before.

"You'll have to forgive me- have only known books and teachers. Nothing in the field, so to say. Your armor says fighter, but the dedication to our god points further to paladin. Are you a holy warrior?"

Drow scouts the right flank.

Garroth will take the Centre, Rearmost, as he can Se over the other's heads and needs the run up for a charge with his horns anyway..

"I'm learning magic.. I have one spell, but I have a big hammer and can hit things really hard..

Vani... keeps your thoughts unspoken, goblins have keen hearing and will notice us from a mile away if you keep rambling.... "

Van will give the minotaur a "Alright!!" kind of look. To Nocturno, "We can discuss it later."

The illusionist will redouble his efforts to be more in line with party mechanics. Staff at the ready.
