Re: WotL OOC Thread III
Haahque (with an 'U') is not a kender, he's a human being. Specifically, a Canadian.
Haahqae (with an 'A') is not a kender, either. He's a gnome.

Re: WotL OOC Thread III
He doesn't. BishGada just got the two races confused.
Re: WotL OOC Thread III
About polymorph, just a little bit after what you quote:
AndPHB wrote: When the physical change occurs, there is a base 100% chance that the subject's
personality and mentality change into that of the new form ....
So... there is that chance... and if you were an evil mage at least at 7th level (which I bet there are many lurking around) he can take an army of mice/cats/dogs/sheeps and turn them. a very low percentage will both survive the system shock and change mentality and so become the true new creature. All abilities included.PHB wrote: A subject acquiring the mentality of the new form has effectively become the creature
whose form was assumed and comes under the control of the DM until recovered by a
wish spell or similar magic. Once this final change takes place, the creature acquires the
new form's full range of magical and special abilities.

OK, now I'm picturing the prefects office quickly filling up with a bunch of women wondering why their husbands/fathers/brothers/etc all got taken without any notice or explanation.

Not all of the people who signed the list were men, though. A few were women. So perhaps some wives/mothers/sisters are wondering the same thing.
Re: WotL OOC Thread III
TristenC - Congrat. for becoming Baron.
JadedDM, I currently have nothing to post. Tulbas looks for means that will help him increase the amount of spells he knows. He will seek Haaque/Ismene/Gregeddin help with that and also go to the church, report they are looking for heretic clerics and will ask permit to look in the library and search for recordings regarding The Test.
But I think it is not yet the time to post in character...

Re: WotL OOC Thread III
Hey, thanks Bish. I'm curious to see what happens when Jaded hits 10,000... in a week or less.
Re: WotL OOC Thread III
A Week? With your post rate it gonna be any minute now
Re: WotL OOC Thread III
Therr must be a limit on these things. WHo programs them in anyway?

Re: WotL OOC Thread III
So I'm slightly unsure of exactly how much I know about the rise of Istar now. (Besides the fact that I don't know very much about dragonlance, so I'm mostly searching for all this info as I go).
The PHB says:
The knowledge acquired gives the character familiarity with the principal legends, historical events, characters, locations, battles, breakthroughs (scientific, cultural, and magical), unsolved mysteries, crafts, and oddities of the time.
This, to me, would suggest Haahqae would know quite a bit about the cataclysm, which happened at the end of the time period he's now an expert at.
However the general information thread for this game says:
But over 350 years ago, the Cataclysm occurred. Nobody is quite sure why, but the events are well-known. A fiery mountain fell from the heavens and struck the heart of Istar, the Holy Empire.
Which suggests that the knowledge no longer exists linking the cataclysm to the kingpriest's demand for godlike power to eradicate evil from the world. Further it suggests that a fair bit of the knowledge of the events from this age (that I might look up online) may have been lost/forgotten at this time.
Is my post suggesting Haahqae knows more about the time period then he does?
