Re: Naras' Vignette
Leena looks away in disgust when Naras pulls the man's pants down--he isn't wearing any underwear. Pearl looks impressed, though. Both women escort him away, one trying not to look and the other staring.
When Naras looks down the south tunnel, she sees that it extends a bit before turning off to the west.
The smithing woman offers no resistance, since she's paralyzed and all. This actually makes it difficult. Naras is forced to drag her, and she's quite heavy. By the time the spell wears off, they have only made it back to the entrance to this chamber. The half-orc wakes up, getting to her feet in surprise. The smith, however, doesn't answer Naras' question.

(OOC: Time moves at the same rate out of battle, it just tends to be calculated less formally. There is only so much you can do in one round. I'll document it below.)
Round 1: Naras walks Human Maul Fighter to Leena and removes his belt and pulls down his pants. Leena takes maul.
Round 2: Leena and Pearl walk Human Maul Fighter half-way to Agnas. Naras looks down tunnel.
Round 3: Naras removes Human Long Sword Fighter's belt and ties her hands. Leena and Pearl walk Human Maul Fighter rest of the way to Agnas. Naras drags Human Long Sword Fighter 10 feet.

Re: Naras' Vignette
Slightly put out by this turn of events, Naras pushes the human woman (#8) into the water "Get you out shortly."
***
(If that isn't possible for some reason, then she'll just impale the poor woman(#8).)
***
Pulling out her spear into a two handed grip, Naras calls to the half-orc woman (#7), "Surrender and you both shall live", as she advances clockwise around the pool.

Re: Naras' Vignette
"Hey, what are you--!" demands the smith as Naras pushes her over the railing. She drops down 10 feet before splashing into the water, coughing and sputtering as she tries to use her legs to keep afloat, as her arms are still tied behind her back.
Naras then advances toward the half-orc who fires an arrow at her. Naras only just barely gets her buckler up in time to deflect it. The half-orc then moves south, entering the tunnel there.

Half-Orc Bow Fighter fires a sheaf arrow from her short bow at Naras at point blank range (+2 hit) with her buckler (-1 hit) [TN 16] (1d20+1): 14+1 = 15, miss. She then moves 60 feet to the south.

Re: Naras' Vignette
OOC: Missed it being a 10' drop into the water; envisaged it as a lake.. my fault, Doh! Has Naras seen any rope in this area? (The following assumes not...)
=========
The dwarf replies to the swimmer, "What, who and how many are down the southern tunnel?" as she moves back to the cave entrance.
If there's a meaningful reply, she adds, "Where's your rope?"

Re: Naras' Vignette
The woman doesn't respond; she's too busy trying to keep her head above the water. Naras looks around for rope. There is rope securing the wooden platforms from the ceiling, but cutting them down might cause the whole thing to come crashing down. Unless there is rope in the chest or one of the nearby sacks or barrels over by the forge or the sleeping area, that's it.
Re: Naras' Vignette
Seeing that the chest offers the possibility for rope, Naras's conscience agitates and gets a change of mind - she heads for the chest (rather than returning to the western entrance) and tries to open it.
(En route she keeps an eye to the south in case the bowman returns, in which case the latter gets a Command "Gonto says Sleep" &, if successful, she charges to deal with the bowman. (A group of foes would provoke a rapid retreat back to Naras's companions.)

Re: Naras' Vignette
Naras hurries to the chest and opens it. Inside is a handful of gold coins, a warden's helmet and sure enough, a coil of rope--about 20 feet of hemp.
Re: Naras' Vignette
The dwarf ignores the gold, notes that the helmet raises unsettling possibilities, and grabs the rope.
She ties it to the back of the chair and, holding on to the other end of the rope, hastily lowers the chair into the water, saying "Get yer arse on this."
***
If the half-orc bowman (#7) returns, he gets a Command "Gonto says Sleep" &, if successful, Naras abandons the swimmer (#8) and charges to deal with the bowman, pulling out her spear en route. (A group of foes would provoke a rapid retreat back to Naras's companions.)
Failing any interuptions though, Naras tries to 'dredge' the swimmer (#8) out with the chair, lowering it far enough into the water that she (#8) can swim or float onto it.
***
If she gets the swimmer out, but is otherwise undisturbed, she scoops & stows the coinage from the chest, takes the warden's helmet, kicks a sack to see what sort of stuff is inside (vegetables? or..?) and then frog-marches the woman (#8) back towards Pearl & Leena.

Re: Naras' Vignette
Naras ties one end of the rope to a chair and the other end to the railing, then tosses the chair over. It hits the water with a splash. The woman tries to climb up on the chair, but with her arms tied behind her back and her legs needing to be constantly kicking or she'll sink, she doesn't have any way to hold on to the chair without slipping off.
Naras hears a howling wind coming from the south. It's not the archer who returns, but something otherworldly. It looks like a small whirlwind about a foot wide and five feet tall. Naras recognizes it as a dust devil, an entity summoned from another plane of existence. It's often favored by followers of Crizza.

OOC: Happt NY: Pls excuse the below, just got in and have had a LOT to dr0nnk...
Maybe the woman can swim or float over the chair and then Naras can pull her up...
Meanwhile, Naras puts a foot o the rope and cast Dispel Magic at the Dust Devil...

Re: Naras' Vignette
The chair floats in the water, and so she cannot swim over it. Still, she continues to struggle to get on it. Every time she does, when Naras tries to pull her up, she falls off again.
Naras begins praying and the dustdevil moves toward her with amazing speed. She finishes her spell just as it strikes her; luckily her armor absorbs the blow. She dispels the control over the dustdevil, seizing it for herself. She now controls the elemental instead.
At the same time, the bowman returns from around the corner. "There she is!" the half-orc says, pointing. Naras sees she is joined by three others--a half-elf woman in chain mail and wearing the yellow and orange vestments of a cleric of Crizza, a large and muscular human male carrying a two-handed axe in hide armor, and a male elven archer in studded leather.

Naras casts Dispel Magic, centered on the dustdevil. All magical effects within a 30 foot cube are potentially disrupted.
----Dustdevil [TN 09] (1d20): 16, pass. Naras has acquired control of the dustdevil.
----Naras [automatic success]: Naras' Find Traps spell is dispelled.
----Potion [TN 18] (1d20): 2, fail. The potion Naras is carrying is not destroyed.

Re: Naras' Vignette
"Extinguish these," the dwarf commands the dust devil, indicating the western and northern torches, and continues "Then envelope him," and points at the Crizza cleric.
=========
OOC: If the commands would be better otherwise split up, then feel free to modify appropriately; (Naras would most likely know, even if the player doesn't). Priority is to get the 2 nearby torches out and then get a spell off. Harassing the other cleric (so she has to make saves to cast spells) can wait if need be.
=========
Naras then tries to get a spell off, 2.Hold Person, centered just to the west of the nearest foe (#9).
=========
OOC: Assumes the squares are 5' each, and intent is for the back (SE) corner of the 20' AoE to just catch the currently furthest foe (#11), so there's something of a chance to catch advancers, e.g. the melee fighter, if he's only just started to advance, maybe by 1 segment..

Re: Naras' Vignette
The dustdevil acts quickly, moving south to put out the first torch, then backtracking north and east to put out the second torch. It then heads for the cleric, but is stopped short by the man with the axe blocking its way.
Naras then finishes her spell, acting before any of the enemy can. She manages to paralyzed all four of them, holding them rigidly still by the grace of Gonto.
