Baeros looks at Jocelyn somewhat concerned, he quickly tell the sisters that they would like to hear what happened in the ship while they were gone but maybe after they have rested, and then runs after Jocelyn. When catching up he says trying to maintain a casual tone which is hard since he finds it hard to catch his breath, "Wow, quiet an adventure..." he smiles. "Who could guess we would meet two demons and an angel?? All in the same day." he says with faked awe. "So, are you OK? You did good job with the hammer! But you shouldn't throw your life away like that you know. I'm there for you. You seems troubled."

During the trip back to the ship, Ouragana is quiet and subdued. She doesn't even try to make eye contact with Thaddeus. Only when they are ready to board, she tells him "I guess you'll have to report with Sierra and Terra, won't you?"

Thaddeus nods to Ouragana. "They are my superior officers, after all," he says.

After Jocelyn storms off and Baeros goes after her, Thaddeus takes it upon himself to elaborate what happened on the island. He tells them of how they found Drav and how he claimed to have been marooned here decades ago, the fire trap that nearly wiped them out, the Oni that captured them, the deal they made with them, the helmed horrors up above, their encounter with Kaakos, fighting the kyton, freeing the planetar, and finally opening the vault. He tells them of the treasure inside, as well as the cannon. He also talks about the Wyvern, his experiments, and his relationship with the Pirate Queen, Zera.

"Sounds like quite an adventure then," Sierra notes, listening to it all. "Alright then, you lot rest up. I'll send some sailors to retrieve those chests and the cannon. Hopefully, we can set sail by dawn."

(OOC: Am I right to assume Ouragana brought that book with her? And Val brought the trident?)

Yes, Val does bring the trident, and the ring if no one else has.

"I need some rest as well" Val says and retires to her bunk

Jocelyn keeps her back to Baeros as she walks and talks. "You're fake awe is impressive," she says dully. By the tone of her voice, she sounds anything but impressed. "And I don't know what you're talking about. I'm just fine," she adds. Though, there was a hint of aggressiveness in her voice which suggested that perhaps she really wasn't fine.

(OOC: Yes, Ouragana took the book.)

Ouragna lies down on her bunk for a while. When she thinks that Thaddeus must have finished his report, she takes the two books they found in the mansion out of her pack and brings them up. She looks for Thaddeus and shows them to him. "We should look at these, I think."

Baeros put his hand on Jocelyn shoulder so gently it feels as a feather, "Jocelyn," he says quietly, "I... you..." but he doesn't finishes his sentence and pursue a different course, "I'll die protecting you. I didn't mean anything else to happen but..." again he trails off. He waits a bit, agony engraved on his face and he thinks to himself, 'Please just talk to me. Don't be sad.' but instead he says glumly, "I... want your happiness. I'll be on the back deck if you need me." He waits a little bit longer and then reluctantly let his hand fall down.

Val retires to the crew quarters to rest.

Gallath goes down below, as well, to check on his falcon and horse.

Granite, Brock and Drav remain on the upper deck for now. Sierra sends about 50 men, led by a couple of officers, down to the mansion to retrieve the cannon and the chests full of coin and gems.

Thaddeus turns to head to his cabin to retire, but stops short when Ouragana approaches him. "Oh, you found some books? I had thought all of the books in the mansion had succumbed to old age. These two must have been enchanted in some way to last 300 years intact."

==========

(OOC: I've added the trident and ring to Val's inventory. I also added the tome to Ouragana's and she is now in light encumbrance.)

Jocelyn leans her forehead up against her cabin door, and lightly bangs her head there a couple of times. "I don't understand what you want from me," she finally says. "I don't know what your...game is." In her mind, this clearly had to be some sort of game.

"I don't want things from you. I just want you to want thing from me so I can make you happy." He says awkwardly.
Baeros is defiantly confused by Jocelyn reaction. "My game?" he asks quietly, pondering about it, "None. I'm not so sophisticated, and I ain't good with words either but I'm always honest. I do struggle with some feelings which I rather keep to myself for now, but besides that I also admire you. Your sense of leadership, your delicate soul that want to help people as you showed in Mond and for some reason that keep deluding me also for the Ogres, your bravery when you stood before the demon." he stops a moment, his awe this time is sincere. "You are a marvelous woman who deserve happiness and seeing you suffer saddens me. I just want to know if I can help. I want you to be cheerful, secure, satisfied with life and nothing will bring me more joy than helping you achieve that."

Jocelyn finally glances over her shoulder to look at Baeros. It was hard to tell if she was convinced by his words or not. In the end, she simply let out a small sigh. "If there is something you can help me with," she finally said carefully. "Then I'll come look for you. Right now, I'm just kind of tired."

Ouragana nods to Thaddeus. "Enchanted they surely are. I believe they are spellbooks. Let's have a look at them" she says, pointing to Thaddeus's study.

Baeros shoulders fall down mimicking his face. "Ok... I'm going to the deck." He starts to go thinking to himself, 'Damn! You coward. Just go tell her what you feel.' while walking he visualize her sad and tired image in fornt of his face, together with the ship rocking he stumbles and bangs his shoulders against the narrow corridor. "Outch! Stupid ship builders! Couldn't you think of broader people?!?" he says in frustration and throws back a look to see if Jocelyn saw this.

==================
(OOC: Baeros is so novice in this field, and had really no social abilities at all. He stands no chance and doesn't even know that. :))
