Re: CH. 13: Resident Evil
Ouragana says nothing for the moment, but while waiting for the chief ogre's reaction, thinks of a way to sum up the History since the fall of the Eonian empire for these beings. How lucky they were to have been spared the Carnage!

Re: CH. 13: Resident Evil
The elder snorts. "A weapon...somehow that would not surprise me. Where is this ship now? When will they be expecting you to return?" he demands.
The green haired younger ogre nods. "Yes, I remember you now. I followed you for awhile, until it became clear you were trapped here with the rest of us."Drav wrote:"As for me, I've been on this island for a few decades, I have just been surviving with what I have."

"Hey, uh, sorry to interrupt, but any chance there's a place to wash up around here?" Dahn asks, seemingly out of nowhere.
I don't blow minds, I blast brains.
Re: CH. 13: Resident Evil
Baeros still stays quiet. 'Gods below! Now they want to help these @%$#^* ogres!!!' he thinks to himself. He looks around and waits for a moment of silence then asks, "Where is my dog? The small one?"
Re: CH. 13: Resident Evil
The elder looks surprised and eyes Gallath squarely. "You would offer us passage off this island? In return for what?"Gallath wrote:"You want off too, don't you? Well, we may be able to help you. What about the rest of this mansion? What do you know?"
The male with black hair raises a brow. "Just the lake outside. But I would think you have bigger problems at the moment."Granite wrote:"Hey, uh, sorry to interrupt, but any chance there's a place to wash up around here?"
The younger male with green hair answers, "We have seen no dog but our own hounds in here."BishGada wrote:"Where is my dog? The small one?"
Re: CH. 13: Resident Evil
Baeros squints at the ogre. "So... you wouldn't mind if try to call him here?"

Re: CH. 13: Resident Evil
Jocelyn looks to Baeros and Gray for a moment before she shakes her head. "We have more pressing matters here, guys," she says to them. "And yes, if your goal here is to get off the island, then we will help. Though, we have to find that weapon first."
Re: CH. 13: Resident Evil
"Yes, we can promise you help do get off this island." Ouragana affirms. Her curiosity wins over, and she asks: "Have you lived here while the Eonians were there? or were the fathers of your fathers the ones they did their experiments on?" The way she pronounces esperiments is meant to suggest that she disapproves of them..
There's more to me than meets the eye...
Re: CH. 13: Resident Evil
Baeros looks at Ouragana and back at the ogres when she suggests they were victims of experiments, then he shakes off these minor sympathy feelings and reminds himself of the horrors they have done in his homeland.
Re: CH. 13: Resident Evil
The elder pauses to take this all in, stroking his beard. Finally, he says, "We are the descendents of the Wyvern's experiments, much like the trolls. Our ancestors were kidnapped from their homes and brought here. When the Wyvern vanished, they were abandoned here, unable to leave. We are all that remain of their legacy." He frowns. "My translation spell is ending soon. We will discuss what you have offered and speak again tomorrow." He turns to the other ogres. "Take them to the pantry for now. See to their needs, but remain cautious."
Re: CH. 13: Resident Evil
"Can you tell us about the Wyvern until the spell ends?" Baeros asks thinking to himself the moment he will stop understanding this loathsome creature, he can speak with his friends without the ogres understanding him.
Re: CH. 13: Resident Evil
"Tomorrow," the elder replies.
The four younger ogres round up the party and escort them north, to a long hallway. From there, they take them eastward. There are two doors on this end of the hallway, and they are taken to the closer one. (Note that only those with infravision see any of this; if your character does not have infravision, you see nothing but darkness as there is no illumination anywhere in the mansion.)
Inside is a large but empty room. It may well have once been a pantry three hundred years ago. Now it contains nothing more than some rotted shelves with nothing on them.
"We will bring food later," says one of the females as they are ushered inside. "Remain here. Do not try to leave as the hounds are trained to attack intruders."
After that they are all inside the pantry, the ogres leave, close the door and lock it behind them. The ogres do not take any of the party's possessions, but they don't bother untying their hands, either. There is no window or any other visible means to leave the room other than the door they entered through. It's pitch black in here, as well.

Jocelyn looks around but sees nothing but darkness. She lets out a sigh. "If someone can untie me, I can try to heal some of you up a little," she says.
