CH. 10: Queen of Harts

Ouragana clears her throat and says: "We went to the shop she used to have. We didn't tell anyone about the money we had found with her body, just about the journal. The woman who is now shopkeeper said she had no family. To confirm, we asked a neighbour who said she had been a friend. She gladly took the journal, but also said that she knew of no family or other, closer friends. I have no idea what the inheritance rules are herabouts, if there is some authority who would claim the money if they knew about it, but I think we've gone to a reasonable length to find heirs. I have no qualms about taking the money now."

"You have done what you could. So, tomorrow we will buy supplies for the journey. Good night all." Baeros takes his share waits to see if the conversation continues and when it is not he goes to his room, the dogs following. After putting the money in the saddle bags he takes the dog for a walk outside the inn before going to sleep.

Once the money is split up, Areilon nods. "Baeros is right. We did what we could. If there's nothing else, we should all get some rest."

"Agreed, I need some rest, then to see what there is to buy in this town." Val says. "Good Night"

Jocelyn takes her share. "All right. Good night then," she says, then exits to go to her own room to get some sleep.

Ouragana takes her share and goes to her room as well. Since she had slept during the afternoon, she is not ver sleepy. She uses the time thinking about the kind of spells she might want to buy. She tries to make up her mind if she wants to ask for magical employment here, or if she continues to travel with the rest of the group. Somehow, the picture of Thaddeus creeps up again and again, so when she's finally falling asleep, her mind is made up to join the search for the Bullring.

The party finds their beds to be comfortable and soft. It's a beautiful night, and leaving one's window open lets in a cool, refreshing sea breeze.

The following morning, everyone wakes up refreshed and well-rested. Because of all of the rain yesterday and the overcast sky, it's a bit cooler this morning than it has been for awhile. Despite all of the cloud cover, it doesn't look like it will rain again today, however.

Jocelyn and Baeros awaken to find that their injuries are slightly better now after a nice day of rest and relaxation. Baeros' head aches a bit from overindulging in drink, but it's nothing serious.

Baeros regains 1 HP. His condition improves from seriously wounded to moderately wounded. He is no longer 'tipsy.'

It is now Ruebon 14, Darkday; 313. It is 7:00 AM. The weather is overcast and the temperature is 65 F (18 C).

Jocelyn wakes up, and spends a lot of time praying for her spells.

OOC: 1st level are mostly the same except create water and bless will all become cure light wounds. 2nd level are also the same except slow poison will be cure mod wounds and the blank slot will be hold person. 3rd level will be prayer and dispel magic

Baeros wakes up with a good mood, his dogs waging their tails as he rub their heads before standing up and washing his face. Pocketing his money awkwardly he makes a face, shoves it back to the saddlebags, puts those on his shoulder and thinks to himself, 'Yes... First thing would defiantly be some belt pouches for money and handy stuff.' and goes down to the main hall to order breakfast and meet the others.

Jocelyn spends the next two hours and fifty minutes in prayer, regaining her spells. It will be 9:50 AM when she finishes.

Baeros and his two dogs leave his room and head downstairs to meet the others, but he finds he is the only one to arrive so far. Furthermore, the receptionist at the front desk beckons him over. "I hope you enjoyed your stay. Will you be staying another day or will you check out now?"

[Breila]

Waking up, Ouragana dresses quickly and puts the money into her belt pouch. She leaves the inn to go to the Thundergull's headquarters, thinking of picking up a small breakfast in a wayside shop or stall if there is any.

"Good morning" she calls out cheerily when she enters the anteroom.

Val wake and dresses before heading to the common room. she leaves most of her stuff, only bringing her trident and belt pouches. "Good morning." she says to Baeros as she takes a seat for breakfast.

Baeros looks at the receptionist somewhat confused, "Oh, THAT!" he lifts his saddlebags slightly, "No, I only go out for shopping. I think we will stay for another night but I'll have to discuss it with my friends." Hearing Val he turns to her, "Hey. Good morning. Do you know when are we leaving town?"

Jocelyn continues to pray in her room.

Ouragana Stormbride (Thundergulls Headquarters)
Ouragana is again greeted by the same elderly elf as before. She asks to purchase two spells--Silence and Invisibility. He offers her the chance to learn these spells at the cost of 200 GP each.

The receptionist nods. "Check out time isn't until noon, officially. You have until then to decide."
