Darga shrinks back from the creature and brandishes his walking stick, ready if it decides to come for him.

(OOC: Although he won't move to attack the slig, Darga hopes to be ready if it threatens him or his companions. He rolls a 6 for his initiative, which when his weapon speed of 4 is included, becomes 10.)

"My apologies, we should have knocked before entering. I couldn't help but overhear that you appeared to be having some digestive difficulties, luckily for you we have an excellent physician among us." Gregeddin gestures flamboyantly to Coroccoco. "She recently helped me overcome my own difficulties, saying that the pressure from the stomach needs to be released to restore balance to the body. Would you like her to assist you?"
Gregeddin felt slightly guilty about lumping Coroccoco in the deep end, but he figures this would stall fir time, and she could probably crack and elbow somewhere soft if needed.

Haahqae slowly fits a bullet to his sling and lines up a shot at it's vital points.

(Hmm, I guess I don't get backstab damage on this? Unless I he moves before me and moves past me, it does sound like I'm hidden.
Init: 1d10+6 = 9, Attack: 1d20 +2 or +3 19 or 20 (Do I get goblin enmity against this?) Damage: 1d4+1 2))

Kendra puts her lantern down, and draws her swords as it looks as if the creature (as she has never seen anything like it before) seems to be ready for a fight at this point. Though, she is quick to step in front of Darga as he stepped back away from the Slig.

Taking her cue from Gregeddin, Coroccoco moves in with a body strike. Her bare fist strikes the slig right in the gut, but its leathery hide is so thick, she may as well have struck a shield instead. The creature laughs, then lunges at her with his spear, piercing her in the gut. Clutching her stomach, she drops to the ground, bleeding profusely.

Quickly, both Kendra and Bear move in to help her. However, neither of their weapons are able to break through the creature's tough hide, either.

Only Haahqae scores a hit, slinging a bullet overhead and then letting it loose with perfect aim. The stone strikes the creature in the chest, actually leaving a bit of a bruise.

The slig winces, rubbing at his chest. "Trespassers, you die here!" he says in Common with a rather snake-like lisp. He readies his spear again.

(OOC: well, so much for assuming that it might not be hostile...)

Seeing the creature stab his companion awakens an anger in Darga strong enough to drive away his fear. Snarling wordlessly, he leaps into the space between the creature and Coroccoco, hoping to prevent it from further hurting her.

(OOC: Darga is attacking the slig. He rolls a 6 for initiative plus a 4 for his weapon speed for a total initiative of 10, and rolls a 20 (!) for his attack roll. Given that, he rolls 3 points of damage.)

(EDIT: accidentally rolled a d6 instead of a d10 for initiative. I must be having some residual 1e instincts acting up.)

"Corococco!" Haahqae exclaims, completely taken off guard by his companion falling. He rushes over to her and pulls her away from the slig to start treating her wounds, then remembers that he has no idea what to do when he sees blood, so he stands back up and draws his bow.

(Really, I'm not fully sure if I'm allowed to do all this in a turn, or if I'm allowed to do more, further I have no idea what to roll, so I'll leave that to Jaded for now)

By fiery skies what have I done!
"Quick! Cut him down, from all sides, surround him!"

Gregeddin drops his torch, with both hands he pulls daggers from his waist and sends them flying towards the slig.

He doesn't to check whether they connect as his gaze is stuck on his fallen companion. He moves to her and tries to drag her limp body away from the melee.

[OOC can you add modifiers please Jaded]
Also I have rolled the dice incorrectly on invisible castle:
initiative, 2 attacks (1d10=3, 2d20=14)
Initiative = 3
Attack 1 = 12
Attack 2 = 2

Pushing aside any guilt he is feeling for the time being, Gregeddin whips out a knife and throws it at the slig, only for it to bounce off the creature's thick hide. He moves to Coroccoco, then pulls out another knife and throws again. This one flies too wide, and clatters against the cavern wall.

Haahqae likewise moves to the wounded hobgoblin, but unsure of how to proceed, instead draws his bow and nocks an arrow.

The slig and Bear exchange blows, neither able to penetrate the other's defense. But the barbarian does a good job of distracting the creature for the others.

Fueled by his rage, Darga approaches from the side and slams his quarterstaff across the slig's face, nearly causing it to double over. Kendra takes advantage of the momentarily lapse in defense, slicing deeply into its flank with her blade. Despite its grievous injuries, the slig quickly gets back on its feet, spear at the ready. It knocks Bear's mighty axe, Reaver, from his hands and it clatters to the ground noisily.

Fueled by rage, or maybe heroism, or was it kindishheartedness? Haahqae looses his projectiles at the enemy, perhaps thinking a bit too hard about what he's being fueled by to get a good shot off.

you useless man! Gregeddin thought to himself.
He looks at Coroccoco trying to discern any life left in her face. He pulls hard on the shoulder of her clothes hoping to drag her away from the clattering of swords. Noting a very heavy sound and a surprised grunt from Bear.

After dragging Coroccoco away, he readies a knife for next round.
(I am assuming I can't attack this turn as dragging would be standard action)

Bear quickly picks up his dropped axe while Haahqae fires an arrow at the slig. The arrow strikes the shaft of the slig's spear, biting into the wood but not the slig itself.

Kendra attacks again, her first strike being deflected from the slig's spear, but the second slices deeply into the creature's neck. It spurts blood wildly from the wound, before collapsing to the ground, dead.

Gregeddin drags Coroccoco away from the fighting and checks her for signs of life. Surprisingly, the wound isn't as bad as it first appeared. Actually, it seems to be getting better, fast. Supernaturally fast! There's also a soft glow coming from under Coroccoco's robes, near where her heart is.

Haahqae's about to dance a little jig for victory when he notices the glow coming off of Coroccoco.

"I see, as heroes we can heal quickly once the threat is gone." Haahqae explains solemnly. "No wait... actually that doesn't happen anymore. The only possible explanation for this is:" Haahqae jumps up as enthusiasm suddenly enters his voice, "I knew it! These mines are connected to the old gods somehow! I knew there was a reason I brought us here!"
