Into the castle!

[Jenara]

"A storage chest? like the ones you'd find in a shop?" The young girl asks, "I..." she puts a hand on the drawer, does it make a sound if she moves it?

[Breila]

When Eloise shakes the object, she doesn#t hear anything, but as she slaps against it, it emits a soft, spooky whirring sound.

[Stik]

[OOC] I'm having trouble picturing it. My first thought was a dulcimer in a case, but that wouldn't make a whirring sound. Can you post a sketch? [/OOC]

"I doubt she is in there, girl. Perhaps you had best you leave it be."

[Jenara]

(Woah, with those magic flying powers we don't need the stairs! lol)

(OOC: it can easily be fixed, add something like: "Christopher had come idling up the stairs. Seeing the girls fuss over the strange object, he remarks:"

[Ismaels-Legacy]

Saul stifles a smile behind one hand as he sees the girls fussing over the object. After watching their amazement, he finally says, "Calm yourselves. There's nothing sinister about it. It's but an instrument used to make music. If you were to look inside, there would be a multitude of strings, like a dozen lutes of various sizes set side by side."

[Jenara]

"How strange.." The young girls wide with amazement, "I have never seen such a thing." Curiously she lifts the lid slightly, "Strange indeed."

With that she moves to the door in the room.

[Breila]

Like Saul said, Eloise finds sets of strings when she opens the lid of the strange drawer, and she also sees plucking mechanisms on the shortest side.

The door opens to a room that is currently empty. However, imprints in the floorboards suggest that there used to be several beds standing here.

[Jenara]

"Empty bedroom." She states with a flip of her hand, "Lets go." She lingers on the table for a short moment.

[pixie chic]

Eloise agrees, "Let's keep moving, then." She waits for Dale to catch up and keeps pace with Thelma.

[Kafen]

Dale secures the lead behind the two ladies as they look for traps. "Right, what does a trap look like if I may ask?"

[Breila]

When the group leaves the room with the spinet (that's what this musical instrument is called, as Saul might know), they see straight ahead of them the corridor that branches off the main one. It leads to a sturdy door in the outer wall of the building. Near that door that seems to open to the inside on hinges on its left side, a large chest is standing against the right wall. Before the chest is a door into a room to the right.

[Jenara]

"A trap? Well I'm no expert, but id say that chest looks like one.. Why would anyone leave a chest like that?" Still she edges forward

[Breila]

The chest looks like any ordinary chest for heavy-duty use, like keeping arms in an armory, and it has signs of use, too. It is made of sturdy dark wood with iron bands, but no locking mechanism is visible. Two sturdy handles would enable strong people to carry it even when full.

[OOC] Since you seem to be expecting a trap: what measures do you take for your safety? In particular, where is everyone, and how closely are you togehter? For the moment, I get it that Eloise and Thelma are examining the chest, Dale is near them, weapon drawn, and Christopher and Saul are somewhat behind in the corridor, close to where it branches off from the main one. [/OOC]

(I doubt there is, and expect to be told to stop worrying in a minute!)
