"You know, that trap in the entrance was.." she mumbles a moment, walking slowly she taps the ground before searching for something that can be used to prod the floor (like a long stick)

There is nothing lying around on this floor at all. All furnishings have been removed.

(If anyone goes up to the next floor, I need to know if they're using the stairs to the right or to the left.)

"Wish I had something to prod the ground with..." Eloise murmors, Reaching for one of the few coins she has she flips it up as it lands in her palm. "King we use the right, shield we go left." Finding the shiny shield of the realm she goes to climb the left stair.

When Eloise comes up the stairs, she arrives in front of a door straight ahead, the stairs end there. To her right, a corridor branches off from the landing. It is quite dark, the only light coming from the floor below. The only thing she can make out besides the door in front of her and the corridor to her left is that the other branch of the stairs leads to the same symmetrical arrangement (e.g., a corridor branching off the landing and a door straight ahead).

Pausing she steps back down to the last landing, "As much as I hate to admit it, we should get the other's. Wait here." She taps Thelma on the shoulder. "I'm going down."

"Lots of landings and stairs." she comments to the others, "Wanna come up?"

Dale moves and nudges Thelma in front of him. "Lead the way, step to the side if the path is clear." He suggests to the women as he nods his head. "We're coming up."

Dale brings a torch. Thelma follows along as they move.

In the light of the torch, Dale, thelma and Eloise can see the door ahead of them and the corridor to their right more clearly. There is a door on the right side of the corridor, and two on the left. There also seems to be a passage branching off to the left, between the two doors. At the end of the corridor, there is another set of stairs going up. All other stairs had consisted of beams on the side with horizontal steps set into them. Here, however, the steps are closed off to the back as well.

If Dale shines his torch to the other side of the staircase they had gotten up, he sees that there is another corrridor there with stairs at the end, but apparently no passage branching off. There are two doors to the left and one to the right.

"Too many doors.." Eloise curses with a whisper, "Ummm let's look at this one." She moves quietly to the single door to the right hand side.

Opening the door, which is set into the middle of the wall, across what is indeed a passage brancing off, Eloise looks into a room that must have been magnificient when the castel was still inhabited. Two ornate windows overlook the garden, and a fireplace is set into the rear wall. The walls are panelled in their lower part, and plastered and painted in the upper part. The wall to their right has a door in it, too. In the corner to her right, Eloise sees a strange piece of furniture that looks at first glance like a three-legged table in an oddly shaped triangular form.

Thelma offers up her tools for usage. She says in a warm voice, "Let's take a closer look at the table." She moves to search the immediate area around the table.

Around the table, there is nothing but the wooden floor. When Thelma comes close to it, she realises that the object is not really a table, but a kind of covered drawer mounted on legs. On the shortest, straight side, the front of the box looks like it is meant to be taken off easily, and it looks that most of the cover can be lifted off, too.
