Re: CH. 2: Bear in Mine
Satisfied that he's safe in the tunnel, at least for the time being, Darga returns back to his companions. In a voice just loud enough to be heard close by, he gestures towards the tunnel he investigated and says, "This tunnel is safe, far as I kin tell."
Re: CH. 2: Bear in Mine
(OOC, just to clarify, the tunnel I intended for Darga was the northern one from Jaded's earlier diagram, if that affects anything. Haahqae=east, we came from west and south is caved in.)
Gregeddin nods in acknowledgement "Right"
He is somewhat distracted by the thoughts of the tunnel caving in, and suddenly came to the conclusion that not being at the font wasn't so bad. Mind you he was quite ashamed of thinking this when he looked at the people around him.

Re: CH. 2: Bear in Mine
"Right, traps. I can do that." Haahqae slips into the room, peering down both passages before quickly crossing it. "I just love sticking my neck into the cave that could fall on me before anyone else. Oh yes I do." He continues in a low voice, not caring if anyone hears him.
With an expert eye he checks out the floor, walls and ceiling of the tunnel to make sure that they don't collapse on him like the previous tunnels would have, then moves in for a closer examination to search for other traps.
(ooc: Rolls involved,
Detect unsafe walls, ceilings and floors(1-7 on 1d10): 3
Detect traps (15%) : 6
If he should see anything that's even slightly suspicious down either tunnel, he also rolls hide and move silently.
Hide (45%): 42
Move Silently (45%): 42 again? wow)

Re: CH. 2: Bear in Mine
Haahqae checks the eastern tunnel, and also finds no evidence of traps or anything else, for that matter. Either way would appear to be clear, so far.
Re: CH. 2: Bear in Mine
Haahqae motions to the rest of the group that the tunnel is safe, then ventures down the tunnel a little to see if he can find the other end. He doesn't go far, making sure to stay in line of sight with the rest of the group.

Re: CH. 2: Bear in Mine
Once back to the rest of the group, Darga asks quietly, "So, which way are we wanting ta go?"
Re: CH. 2: Bear in Mine
"Without a fully functioning choice song, or choice drinks, this could be a tricky one. We were generally coming north from that big abandoned mine equipment room, may as well keep going north as far as I can tell." Gregeddin replies.
(OOC: if up on your diagrams isn't north - then just up, if that makes sense)

Re: CH. 2: Bear in Mine
Kendra, now knowing that the tunnels seem to be safe, follows after Haahque. "This way seems as good as any," she says.
Re: CH. 2: Bear in Mine
Haahqae walks down the eastern tunnel; not all of the way, just a little bit. Kendra, not realizing that, follows.
After a short distance, Haahqae comes to yet another four-way intersection.

Re: CH. 2: Bear in Mine
"Too many decisions." Unless Haahqae sees anything particularly interesting down any of the passages such as living creatures or rooms full of treasures or artifacts, he doubles back and rejoins the rest of the group.

Re: CH. 2: Bear in Mine
Upon reaching the intersection, Darga steps to the fore again and listens intently down each tunnel, motioning for silence. The laughter that he heard before lurks large in his memory, and he would rather not stumble upon its source unaware.
(OOC: Darga is attempting to Detect Noise. He's got a 15% chance of success, but his roll of 85 isn't going to cut it.)

Re: CH. 2: Bear in Mine
Darga does not hear anything coming from any of the tunnels. In fact, the whole place seems eerily quiet now.
Likewise, Haahqae doesn't see anything of particular interest in any of the tunnels, either.

Re: CH. 2: Bear in Mine
"Well this big room up north looks important, let's go check out out." Haahqae whispers, although it's quite audible in the silence of mine. He then strolls over to give the large room a closer look.

Re: CH. 2: Bear in Mine
Gregeddin shuffles down to follow as silently as he can, not wanting to disturb the scouts and thieves from their detecting - he knows that a lapse footstep could see all of them trapped.
Re: CH. 2: Bear in Mine
Gregeddin follows Haahqae a little up through the northern tunnel.
He motions to Bear and the others to stay close, If we get jumped we'll need these bigger lot to give a hand, he thought to himself.
