"Rarely is my business, I have to admit. I do not mind poking my nose into things if it is worth checking out, however." Durant says in a warm voice as he moves closer to Angel. "Are you going back in?"

[Jenara]

"We are waiting on our employer, to get his opinion." She Responds, "And you are?" she adds.

[Kafen]

"Durant." He introduces himself with a bow and says calmly. "I am a warrior by trade, and I am somewhat of a military man when the time calls for it. I am former Legion. Now, I guard people and things they value."

[Jenara]

"Those that depart the legions have to do something, do we not?" She says with a wink, Adjusting the shiny longsword that sits at her hip. "Angel."

[Breila]

Having eyed the newcomers with interest for a moment, Liri approaches them and Angel. "Liriodendra ty Corylus, Imperial Messenger Service. Though at this moment, I am off-duty."

[Jenara]

Angel moves towards Liri, then moves back suddenly, "She has been invaluable."

[Breila]

Liri raises her eyebrows at angel's comment, but says nothing.

[NoTrammeling]

"Gnaeus Secundus Gnaeus filius Lucius nepos Flavius Magus," the man reiterates for Liri's benefit, all frosty formality. He looks at Angel, mildly annoyed at the height disparity between them, still he tries his best to look down the length of his nose. "It is my business now, I have a contract with the Mercenaries' Guild to provide my talents. My time in the Marches is at an end, but it seems there is still much to be done for the Empire." He hardly even glances at Angel's physique other than to weigh her abilities. "You have thoroughly explored the cavern?"

[Jenara]

"Yes, we have investigated the whole cavern. There are a number of dead creatures in there.. but this." She prods the dead dwarf thing. "Needs to go to Master Fraso."

"Be aware Octo is in charge here, anything that happens goes through him." She says looking to the Legionare. "And Master Fraso hired me to lead." She adds, towering over him.

Durant introduced himself to Bastian and turned to engage with the other newcomers before Bastian could properly break his reverie. Apparently he was more lost in thought than he was aware of....

He moves to join the others by the horse just in time to hear the end of Angel's rather "diplomatic" introduction. Without further ado, he decides to defuse the situation. "Ok. Trousers up, ladies. No need to start measuring. You are both very intimidating!" Bastian sends a sly wink to Angel, hoping she is not too off-put by the comment. Then again, his mouth typically works faster than his brain anyway.

"Hmh." Gnaeus lets a smirk creep across his face at Bastian's comment, half-turning from Angel yet keeping her in the corner of his vision. Chin held high he takes in the priest and the rest of the party. "The fighting must have been difficult, you have taken wounds. With proper planning one's troop should ne-YEOW!"

The man leaps three feet in the air, arms clawing for the back of his tunic. He stops, squirming, eyes twisted in pain as a black cat comes clawing its way up the back of his tunic to perch on his shoulder. Trembling with barely contained rage, Gnaeus straightens himself, his voice a deadly whisper. "Pounceous Servilius, my back is NOT A TREE to be shredded by your climbing claws." The cat blinks its golden eyes, purring softly and nuzzling against his cheek.

[Breila]

Liri bows to the cat, a glint of amusement in her eye. "Pounceus Servilius, I am honored to meet you" she says.

[Jenara]

Angel gives Gnaeus a sour look, she'd met too many like him in the Legions, people like him were the reason she left, well partly...

"I am going to make camp, I will see you when you are done." She says to Liri, before turning back to Praesul, "Bastian, have you seen to the others?" She adds, her back turned, before moving the horse away from the group, finding a spot under a suitable tree.

Seeing Bastian walk away, Eldon lifts himself painfully to a sitting position. In his head he tries to rationalise what just happened, he nearly died, in fact for a moment he had, if that damned cleric hadn't called on the gods...

Trying to straighten his unruly mop of hair he groans in pain, his whole body aching.

[Kafen]

Durant is smiling with the exchange of words. He tells the group. "Perhaps, I will get the chance to do some exploring with you. My contract is not a firm one, and I am always looking to have a bit of fun." He gives the group a small bow before saying. "I will be with the caravan, but I will try to visit later tonight if possible."
