Chapter 1: The Road to Dagger Falls

"Then it is settled. Maria? Would you like to help make camp?" she asks..

"Oh," Gimak says. "Seems I misheard you then. You speak so softly, I could have sworn you said the opposite. You have my apologies then for the misunderstanding."

[Breila]

Eringard smiles. "It is fine. I will try to speak more loudly then" she blushes. "So who will take last watch with me?" she asks the group.

[Jenara]

"Ok, I'll take first with Gimak, Raina and Seraphina and Eringard can take the last with Jain. Is that acceptible?"

[HorizonsDream]

"We don't need three people on a watch," Raina points out. "Sera can be with Eringard, and I'll just take watch with Jain."

[Jenara]

(typo, missed a comma! Was supposed to be Eringard and Jain)

"That works also." she responds flatly.

The Longleague has since stayed out of any inter-party discussion, looking away in purposefully affected disinterest. He will, however, nod his acceptance of the proposed watch order with a sly grin. "Don't mind a bit of snoring I hope. Least it should keep the watchers awake."

Seraphina says nothing whatsoever, preparing herself for the night in the circular space.

Eringard's herbs banish the stench of decay and droppings, making the space feel comfortable and secure or even hospitable.

When dawn comes, Eringard will look into the direction of the new light every few minutes during her rounds, greeting the rising sun with arms held high and open, with the appropriate short prayer.

I know. I just wanted to state that in case that while I'm asleep, there will be a flurry of posts and by the time I can read the thread again, it will be noon in game time, and then at some point someone will tell me Lathander is not granting Eringard her spells because she didn't do her priestly duties!

The party has just bedded down for the night in the circular-clearing within Castle Daggerdale's ruined keep. A bundle of lavender still smokes on a patch of rock, masking the foul smells associated with ruins. All sleep save for Gimak and Elianna who have taken first watch.

"So, Master Dwarf." Elianna says drawing her blade from its scabbard, cleaning it softly, "Why do you dislike me?"
