Re: CH. 4: Temple of Baerin
"Well, we are going north, so let's keep going north," Echo says. "Sound good to everyone?"
Re: CH. 4: Temple of Baerin
Everyone agrees, and so the group moves north. Keet again checks the door and finds nothing, so Hollidan opens it and reveals an expansive kitchen. There are three stoves, numerous cabinets, and quite a few barrels and sacks, as well.
The place is a mess, as the bullywugs obviously didn't clean up after themselves. Food is splattered on walls, counters, the floor and even the ceiling. Dirty pots and pans are strewn all over the place. However, nobody appears to be present in the room itself.

"Well, this place is a mess," Echo says as she looks around. "Though, some of this stuff might be salvageable," she says as she moves to go through some of the cabinets.
Re: CH. 4: Temple of Baerin
Searching through the kitchen, they find quite a few kitchenware. A lot of it is rusted or crumbling, but there is some newer items--pots, kettles, forks and so forth--that are newer, albeit cruder. Likely having belonged to the bullywugs.
There's some food, too. Mostly pickled fish that appears still good to eat. There are also a few barrels of fresh water, as well.

"Seems like the Bullywugs have made themselves a home here," Echo says.
Re: CH. 4: Temple of Baerin
"Sure enough," Hollidan says, looking around.
"Once the place is secured, we can give this food to the refugees," Gimog muses. "Should be enough to feed them all for a day or two."
Nuvain searches around. "No other doors. Guess we have to go back to the first room where we found the bullywugs."

"There was another door in there, besides the secret one, right?" Echo asks as she starts to make her way out of the kitchen, and back to the first room.
Re: CH. 4: Temple of Baerin
The group heads south back to the room where they first ran afoul of the bullywugs, and Echo confirms she was right. There's a double-door on the east wall, as well as the secret door on the west wall.

"Keet, check out that door," she says, pointing to the east wall.
Re: CH. 4: Temple of Baerin
Keet carefully checks the door, but finds it locked. He attempts to pick it, using his claws, but has no luck. "No can open," he says, sadly.

"I don't suppose the three of you know how to pick locks," Echo asks, knowing full well that they most likely didn't know how.
Re: CH. 4: Temple of Baerin
"Nope," Nuvain says.
"I could try kicking it down," Hollidan muses.
"Or we could search for a key," Gimog suggests.

Re: CH. 4: Temple of Baerin
"Hollidan, you fell trying to kick down a charred door," Echo says with a light laugh. "Finding the key is probably the best option. We need to search all of the bodies, as the bullywugs might have had it."
Re: CH. 4: Temple of Baerin
Sure enough, after searching, a key is found on one of the bullywug's corpses. Keet uses the key to unlock the door, and after Hollidan opens it, they find a storage room of some kind that hasn't been used in a long time. It's full of dusty crates and barrels, most of which have rotten through.

Echo carefully looks through the crates to see if there is anything useful in there that could help them out as they explore the temple.
