(Moving my previous post)
"You are safe, Eli is with you." She says softly when he goes to rise, "The dwarves are gone." Keeping her symbol on display. "I am Locky, reverend daughter of Paladine."

Re: Tree Lords III
The kirath does not respond any differently to Locky the second time she says this. He just lies there and keeps mumbling in Elvish, a language that Locky does not understand. She can repeat herself as much as she likes, it doesn't seem to do any good.

"Oh well he isn't listening." Locky sighs, "He is too disturbed by everything that happened.." Looking up at the group she shrugs. "We should take him to the others."

"Thank you Locky." Jerrard smiles, "And thank Paladine, I feel better, as for him... How do we move him? I have seen trauma like that before, he needs time."

"We don't have time," Imani points out as she walks over to the elf. She sits down on her knees next to him, and pats his cheek to see if she can get some sort of response out of him other than his muttering in his language.
Re: Tree Lords III
The kirath continues speaking in Elven. He seems to be repeating one word in particular over and over again.
Ulster looks from the kender to Imani. "Maybe he doesn't speak Common?" he suggests, scratching his chin.

"I don't speak his language," Imani says as she looks up to the others. "Surely one of you knows his language," she says.
Re: Tree Lords III
Babushka shakes her head. "I'm sorry, but I know only my own and Common"
(OOC: maybe the fey languages are related, so that key words are similar, can Babushka get an idea of what he might mean with an INT check? 1d20=5, easy pass)

Re: Tree Lords III
Fikod squats on his heels, not far from the Kirath or his attendants. The focus has returned to his eyes, and his step is as energetic as it was when he first encountered the party. Certainly his humor is long returned, a little smile distorting his carefully rebraided mustachios, now looped under his chin to meet and fall together in a faux-beard. He seems to have lost any caution he once assigned to Locky's presence, deeply greatful for the healing ministrations of the kender priest. He regards her for a few moments before speaking.
"Priestess, p'raps we can fashion a litter and have him dragged, if that would nay disturb the pointy-eared bugger. Though 'tis hungry work and us with nary a fungi biscuit between." He continues to watch her, something more than current concerns turning behind that broad dwarvish face.

"Indeed. I do not speak silvanesti, only qualanesti..." Jerrard sighs, "I have learnt the languages are quite different."
(Still int check, can he see if the word sounds something close to what he knows? 1d20=17 bare pass)
"And yes a stretcher would work, Jeremy could you help find us suitable wood please?"

Re: Tree Lords III
Jerrard recognizes the word the kirath keeps using. "Water, water, water!" he says through parched lips. He has been unconscious for two days now, so it makes sense he'd be rather thirsty and hungry by now.

(OOC: Elven and Gnomish are not related at all; gnomes are not fey creatures. Remember, Babushka is actually unusual for her race to have an interest in nature at all.)

Re: Tree Lords III
"He is thirsty. Silly me." Jerrard says putting his hand on his head and then passing the elf his water skin, easing the liquid into his mouth. "Water." He repeats.

Re: Tree Lords III
Imani helps the elf sit up so that he can drink. "Jerrard, do you think you could ask him if he can walk on his own before we make a stretcher?"
Re: Tree Lords III
With Imani's help, the kirath quickly downs the entire waterskin within seconds, small streams of water running down his chin.
I...I walk," he says, haltingly, in Common. His accent is very thick. "Where others? Where dwarves?"

Re: Tree Lords III
"Your kinsmen, I'm afraid, were killed," Imani says gently. "And many of the dwarves are dead as well, but the rest are gone," she explains while she helps the elf up to his feet.
Re: Tree Lords III
"Killed..," the kirath repeats, numbly. "A'maelamin," he mutters, looking down at his broken body. Jerrard and Jeremy both recognize this word as meaning 'my beloved' in Elvish.
