CH. 6: Clockwork Horrors

[Nuke]

Val pulls a vial from her belt pouch. "Here, give her this"

[Breila]

Ouragana takes the vial from Val, smiling. "You could do that yourself next time, we know you so well by now I don't think any of us would get scared seeing you when we wake up." She then props Jocelyn up and carefully administers the potion.

[JadedDM]

After administering the potion, the acolyte coughs and sputters as she regains consciousness. She feels very weak, tired and in a lot of pain--and all spells have been wiped from her mind completely.

Ouragana administers a Potion of Healing to Jocelyn, automatically restoring her to 1 HP.

[Jenara]

"Frisno is dead, Tia killed him, took his money and fled, leaving us to deal with the fall out..." Arei says softly, approaching the fallen Gnome, slipping a pistol in her belt. "We have to explain this."

(Are there any loaded ones left?)

[JadedDM]

(OOC: He had five pistols, and he fired two; so there are three pistols that are still loaded.)

[Jenara]

(Then she takes two of them, he had ammo I presume.)

[Breila]

"You better do the explaining" Ouragana says. "Last time I tried, it almost ended in a catastrophe. I don't manage to find the right words for the wardens."

[Nuke]

"We left a trail. They will put it together." Val says, refusing to acknowledge Ouragana.

[HorizonsDream]

"As if dwarves like elves," Jocelyn says weakly. "They will either be here shortly or we go to them. So make up your minds."

Areilon picks up a couple of pistols and searches for ammo, finding a handful of bullets. She puts the pistols in her belt and the bullets in her leather pouch.

Areilon adds two pistols and 5 bullets to her inventory.

[Breila]

"Then let's make ourselves presentable and go see them" Ouragana suggests, looking herself over. "But as I said, someone besides me should do the talking."

[Jenara]

"We stopped the murders..." Arei mumbles giving the Gnomes body a quick search. "I guess he had a laboratory somewhere." She adds, Joyceln should do the explaining.

[HorizonsDream]

Jocelyn slowly pushes herself up only to let out a small hiss of pain. "I don't think it is going to matter much, but Val grab one of the spiders that were destoryed so we can show the wardens," she says as she begins walking towards the exit.

[JadedDM]

As Jocelyn limps toward the stairs, a deep, gruff voice suddenly calls out, "STOP RIGHT THERE, CRIMINAL SCUM!" A squadron of armed and armored dwarves, each wearing a round badge, storms down the stairs with loaded crossbows.

"Drop your weapons, hands in the air!" they demand, at least ten in number. Two more step down more casually and the party recognizes them as the two wardens they met at the Paragon when they first arrived in Narin.

The ten dwarves quickly circle the group, but a few break away to search the room.

"Sir," says one of the dwarves to the newcomers. "We have a dead one over here. Stabbed and throat slit. It's Tinskin, sir--the owner of this place."

"More of these things, sir," says another, prodding a destroyed spider with his boot. "Broken to pieces, just like upstairs."

"Yeah, we aren't the murder here, "Jocelyn says. "That now dead gnome was. He made these...spiders to do his dirty work."
