Ouragana snorts. As if she was going to involve herself in a fight she could only lose! She approaches the doorframe and once again tries a cantrip to make the liquid greasing the joints of the nearest clockwork spider solid enough to impair its movements.

Before anyone can react in time, the first spider moves forward and attacks Val with its iron mandibles, but the half-orc easily evades the attack by simply hopping over it, into the room itself. She then turns and strikes at the creature, but her trident's prongs simply bounce off the creature's metal covering.
Areilon swiftly moves into the room and goes for a different spider. It only has time to rear back a bit before she plunges her sabre into its glass eye, shattering it and soaking the weapon in oil. When she withdraws the blade, the spider stumbles a bit, spurting oil onto the floor, then collapses in a heap.
Ouragana tries the cantrip she used earlier that night, but this time it actually works. It slows the spider down considerably. This gives Areilon a bit of time before it comes after her, and allows her to easily avoid getting bitten.
However, Jocelyn hears the ticka-tacka-ticka-tacka of another creature from behind her. She turns just in time to see a fourth spider, having come down the hallway, almost upon her!

Jocelyn turns to face the spider that is coming up behind her. "Um, problem!" she calls out as she attacks the spider with her warhammer.

Val's opponent lurches at her, but she quickly steps back and uses the blunt end of her trident to keep the mechanical creature at bay. She hears Jocelyn's call for help, but has her hands busy with this bugger. The amazon strikes with her trident, hitting the spider in its glass eye. The eye cracks, but does not break. She makes a second attempt, but misses entirely.
Areilon has similar luck against her opponent. She sidesteps an attack, then makes one of her own. She cracks the creature's glass eye with her sabre, but does not break it entirely.
Ouragana turns quickly at Jocelyn's call and attempts to use her cantrip again, but she stumbles over the proper words and gestures, and it fizzles out entirely.
Jocelyn, meanwhile, slams her hammer down at the creature, but it scoots aside just in time. She only succeeds in hitting the floor. The spider then leaps at her, but she only just barely gets her shield up in time to block it from going for her neck.

Ouragana modifies the grease spell into a cantrip that will make a sticky dark substance (like old grease) spread on the diamond eye of the spider she and Jocelyn are facing, and casts it.

Areilon lashes out with her sabre, Telsa, but the mechanical spider hops back, avoiding the blade. It then just as quickly leaps forward, biting her exposed left wrist with its iron mandibles and drawing blood.
Jocelyn swings her hammer, slamming it into the spider's thorax and leaving a sizable dent there. The creature retaliates by slipping past her defenses and biting her ankle.
Val's opponent hisses and then moves in quickly, biting her arm. This causes her to drop her coral trident to the ground with a clatter.
Finally, Ouragana uses another cantrip, this time to try and slightly blind Jocelyn's opponent. It seems to work, as the creature shakes about, as if trying to dislodge the grease covering its eye.

Trying something flashy (and stupid) Arei tries to skewer the creature in the eye by swinging her cloak round as she spins (failed called shot). "By the gods, why won't you just die?" She shouts.
