Time to prepare

[Jenara]

"They are a reserved bunch. Searos is quite harmless, Gunter is..." Brax blushes. "A sweet man. Kim is unknown even now, and Vee.." she smiles, "A sweet young thing."

"And me? I guess that is what you are thinking... I am a former Priestess of Lloth, darkness surrounded me." Seeing confusion on his face she carries on. "I was once everyone here's nightmare. Until Pelor found me."

"We are going to get this smuggling ring at the source, that is my plan. If you are known to Geraldine you are ok with me."

[Kafen]

"I'm known to all the locals at this point. I've placed a few of them in homes and watched them start families of their own." Pausing, Reller says. "If there are smugglers, that is a threat to the things that I hold most precious. If Geraldine is willing to support me with trust, I would not mind joining in the effort to protect the city."

[Jenara]

"You are ok with me." Brax smiles and takes her wine, passing Reller a drink as well. "Sit with me, let them moan for a few minutes." She motions to a free table with her hand.

"You know little of my people?" She asks, flashing Gunter a little smile over the common room.

[Kafen]

"Almost nothing, honestly. The talk of shadows and evil, perhaps. Then again, the talk of my own species from the other races is not much better. I would be arrogant and aloof if you go by what the stories say about my kind." Moving with her, he explains. "I was raised by humans, and I have helped many species over a century. I'm more city dweller and rustic native than any species of elf. So, the answer is no - I have no real information on your kind." He remarks with humor.

[Jenara]

"My people are Cruel and violent, lead by the Priestesses of Lloth, they kill other races on sight..." She pauses leaning in closer, "Human is an interesting meat, I would not suggest you try it."

"Perhaps you should ask if Master Daos is books on my people, it would be interesting to see what they say to be honest."

[Kafen]

"Your people sound quite dark, but you are on a different path." Reller rejoins the group at the main table. "It is the journey that matters."

[Jenara]

"I was given no choice, at first I was angry, hated the path I was given." She continues, seemingly happy to talk, "And now I believe its a path Pelor had chosen for me.... Still, my old life calls me."

[Kafen]

"I was not given a choice as a child, but I walk it without complaint." Reller says with a hint of humor. "In any case, it would be interesting to read what is written about your own people. You might be able to correct the errors."

[Jenara]

"Yes, yes it would. It is a shame Amon is not here, I would be interested to see what he has to say." Sipping her wine she taps the table absently, "Could you arrange an audience with Master Soulstaff?"

[Breila]

"Arrange an audience?" Kim's ears peek up at Brax's words. "He's probably haughty and secluded, but I don't think we should treat him as Royalty. Though he probably won't be happy about the number of people that want to see him today." A ghost of a grin quickly passes over Kim's face.
"He seemed interested in me when we saw him last time, I guess he will accept my call. What was it you wanted to get, Brax and ...Reller?" A quick look aside makes sure the newcomer's name was recalled correctly. "I might get it for you when I ask for the material we found in the mansion."

[Jenara]

"I would be interested to see what books he has on my people." Brax responds, "He is of the council, thus in charge, I felt audience was suitable." She continues grinning at the remark, so Kim had a sense of humor.

"Perhaps while Kim does that we could check out the vessel they wish us to use?" She sips her wine and shifts over seats, so she is next to Gunter. "Do you wish to take a look Gunter? At the Boat? Reller seems to have some clue so I have asked him to join us. And how was Geraldine? Usual high spirits I assume."

[Kafen]

"Soulstaff and I never crossed paths, honestly." Reller admits to the group. "I would love to join you, though."

[Robbo]

"She was fine. She just asked me a couple of questions about that caravan we rode in with and then sent me here to get Searos before he gets too far into his..." he pauses to count the empty mugs in front of the thief's seat, "...next drink..." At this, he regards Brax and Reller with a shrug.

"Sure I'll come with you to the docks, but I'm not sure how much help I'll be."

Despite spending his entire life within a mile or two of the coast, Gunter always found himself wandering the fields and forests near his farm instead of spending his time down at the docks like most of the other men of Narwell. Something about the vast, openness of the sea made him uneasy and he preferred not to dwell on it.

[Jenara]

"I trust your judgement." Brax replies snuggling up to the warrior for a moment. "We should move Searos, get him to his little chat. Shall I convince him to go?" She winks.

"I dislike the sea, there is something... vast and scary about all that sky." She adds.

[Stik]

"The sea...the sea...the sea is a cruel mistress. I can tell you about the sea. Here's what you need to know: it's level but not flat, it's wet and it's cold, and it can kill you in numerous different and creative ways, particularly if you are unfamiliar with it, for it hides myriad surprises beneath an innocent-looking surface. Oh, and in case you were wondering: inshore waters are far more dangerous than the deeps.

"What you need, friends, is a man eminently familiar with the local waters. Perhaps even someone who has his own boat, and is willing to show you around. And I may just have exactly the man you need."
