Re: Voyage of the Horizon Seeker
"I can't wait to see them." Locky grins, watching the side of the ship with interest, it lasts for at least ten minutes until she switches to the opposite side of the ship.

Re: Voyage of the Horizon Seeker
"I am thinking." Jerrard rubs his beard, "Why do they take these things? They must have a reason, we should try to hold one captive, find out why they are doing these things."
"Malika, I wonder, Elves are mostly immune to charm based spells, I believe. But." He leans in closer, shaking slightly, "Have you had any luck holding Elves in Thrall?"

Re: Voyage of the Horizon Seeker
"I haven't really met very many elves," Malika admits. "They aren't exactly crawling all over Khur. But the few I have met have been remarkable in their ability to resist my powers."
Re: Voyage of the Horizon Seeker
"Well that answers that question my dear." The Mage shrugs, "We have to try to hold one somehow."
Re: Voyage of the Horizon Seeker
"What you tell me suggests that they don't use what they take for themselves, but pass it on to someone else, that there is a mastermind behind them who isn't Dimernesti. Jerrard, what do you think? And do we have any defence against sleep and paralysation magic?" Babushka tries to rally all their thinking to come up with a defence strategy.
There's more to me than meets the eye...
Re: Voyage of the Horizon Seeker
"Hmph, I wonder if they're doing it al for some powerful divine being." Temeral says, the tone of disgust more than obvious in his voice.
I don't blow minds, I blast brains.
Re: Voyage of the Horizon Seeker
"Doubtful. Very doubtful." Jerrard muses, "Protection? Our new friend here will have inherent defense, I do not have such spells, but Locky might."
Re: Voyage of the Horizon Seeker
"Well.... I could call on Paladine for aid, he could help us all for a little while." Locky looks at Temeral for a moment, "As long as its not one of the mean Divine beings does it matter?"

Re: Voyage of the Horizon Seeker
"Oh, so you are one of them... I saw the symbol, but decided to see evidence before I made the assumption..." Temeral says, with a tone of pity, then turns to Jerrard, "It's simple the ones who aren't effected kill the ones disabling the others, from there, it goes as it will."
Temeral turns once more to Locky and says, with a bitter tone, "Keep your gid away from me, priest." On that, he turns away mumbling, "So they even go after children? Wretches."

Re: Voyage of the Horizon Seeker
Imani looks to the new elf curiously for a moment. "What do you have against Gods?" she asks. "Or rather, what do you have against those that follow them?"
Re: Voyage of the Horizon Seeker
"If they think they do it for a Devine Being, then there's usually some very real non-devine person who profits from it and who uses them" Babushka says to Temeral, following him. "And don't speak little of Locky and the powers given to her by her God. She is small and will never grow any taller - just like me - but without her and her connection to the Divine, I would have died a few times in the past months."
There's more to me than meets the eye...
Re: Voyage of the Horizon Seeker
"I'm not a sheep!" Locky shouts rather annoyed. "I didn't ask him to come to me, actually its a good story, do you want to hear it? Well anyway, you see not many Kender are called to the Faith, we thank Fisban for the sun and the sky, and something nice, but-" She rambles, cut off by Jerrard.

Re: Voyage of the Horizon Seeker
"Temeral, you are not a paying passenger here. The Captain was kind enough to help you, please be somewhat grateful for that." Jerrard starts, cutting the Kender off mid speech, "I have met those like you before, angry at the Gods." He shakes his head, "We disable and kill only if we have to, Dimenesti are not Evil, thus there must be a reason."
Re: Voyage of the Horizon Seeker
(OOC: I meant god, but, oh well,I'll play it off as if that's what it sounded like.)
Temeral stops and turns to Imani, answering, "The other small one made a solid point when she mentioned 'very real non-divine beings', except she was likely wrong about the usually part. The gods remain unseen, in their unseen realms, untested and unchallenged. They claim to be all powerful, yet rely on mortals to do their bidding.Reverence, their sustenance, dying without it. Ironic, that those who hide behind such deceit be regarded as divine beings. Beings of truth?! Well, I suppose it's easier to lie to someone when you say your words are honest. The druids of my people, they taught me that the way you manipulate the forces of magic is determined by your mindset. We used to mock the clerics, noting that what they believe is granted by their gods, is really just their own inner passion. We would laugh at them, that is, until..."
He pauses for a moment before he continues, though his words are spoken out loud, he seems to be speaking to himself,"... What they did to my village- to my brother..."
Snapping back into awareness he turns towards Jerrard. "You're words only serve to solidify my point, I was saved by your captain, not by your god."
"I don't even know what this scorn is over,I didn't strike the girl, or even threaten her, get off it."

Re: Voyage of the Horizon Seeker
Imani looks at the others as they start to attack Temeral for his views. "Um, aren't you three being a little...over emotional?" she asked curiously. "He just doesn't like the fact that Locky isn't a cleric of Paladine, whoever Paladine is," she states. "Giving him lectures or shouting at him like a child isn't exactly the best way to get him on your side either."
