CH 2: The Search for More Money

"Mist?" Arei asks, "Who is mist?" She nurses her drink, listening with interest.

Arei is drinking slowly, when the others arrive.

"Mist is my best friend, the best pet a girl could ask for. She is always there when I need her." Val thinks about going swimming while she has another. "Ale"

Val is getting shitfaced

Brock brings Val another ale. Because of the half-orcs hearty constitution, though, it usually takes several ales before she even gets a buzz.

Val spends another five copper on ale.

Val makes a CON check with a -4 penalty (1d20): 3, pass. She's still sober.

"Hello, you two" Ouragana says briskly as she walks over to Val's and Arei's table. "Do you have any plans for the afternoon besides sitting here and drinking?"

(Ah, in that case, he'll buy a standard room, throw his stuff in, and return to the others)
Oh, you're back from shopping," Dahn says as he approaches the table, "have time to compare notes on the high arts?"

[Jenara]

"No..." She stops speaking, looking at the Mage. "Actually, I do, can you detect signs of magic?" She asks fixing the mage with her Blue eyes, "I was wondering if you could come with me to take a look at something?"

She raises her hand to Dahn as he arrives.

[HorizonsDream]

"Take a look at what?" Jocelyn asks as she joins everyone at the table again.

[Breila]

"I would need some preparation, but yes, I could do that" Ouragana answers Areilon.

(OOC: I probably should specify what she carries around with her in town, resp. which part of her equipment stays in the room. She will leave her bedroll, food and water there.)

[Jenara]

"It depends on how long we have. If we have the rest of the day, I would like your assistance at the murder site. Something is.. I am not sure but something is amiss."

"The situation requires the eyes of those trained to look at the unusual." she adds, "it would not take long."

[Breila]

"We have all afternoon, the ship sails only in the morning" Ouragana answers Arei. "So we can look at anything you want. Do you want to come too, Jocelyn, Val, Grey?" she looks at the other members of the group in turn.

[Jenara]

"Magic would be nice." Arei adds, "But it isn't needed really, I need eyes, and someone smarter than me."

[xelphyn]

"Hmm... I haven't prepared my mind to investigate a murder... But I've never been an investigator before. What the hell? I'll go."

[HorizonsDream]

"We leave in the morning, so if you want to check out the murder site, I guess we can," Jocelyn says with a shrug.

[Nuke]

"Sure, I will go. Don't want more ale anyway." Val collects her change and prepares to depart.

The five companions step out then, following Areilon to the windmill. Nothing seems to have changed any since last time she was here. Nobody else is around, and it's fairly quiet save the creaking of the mill itself as it slowly turns.
