CH 2: The Search for More Money

[Breila]

"Do you know how far it is to the ruins, Jocelyn? Can we set out today or is it better to start early tomorrow?" Ouragana asks the young cleric.

[HorizonsDream]

"We haven't even told him that we are going to go yet," Jocelyn said. "So I guess once I tell him, he will have to make arrangements so we can get to the ruins since we have to go by ship to get there," she explains. "We probably won't leave until tomorrow at the earliest."

[Nuke]

Val jumps in and says "We will take another night" Pulling a gold out, she hands it to the innkeep.

[Jenara]

"Agreed, yes one more night. But." She pauses. "Can I have a suite this evening?"

Taking Val's gold piece, Brock returns five silver in change. Then he turns to Areilon. "The suite costs five gold, if you want to upgrade," he says.

"I'm already paid up for the week, so no worries," Noah says to Jocelyn.

[Jenara]

"Yes please." She waits a moment, thinking of Dahn, before paying the 5gp.

[Breila]

"Jocelyn, would you like company when you make the arrangements?" Ouragana asks.

[HorizonsDream]

Jocelyn gives Noah a small nod before turning to the storm sorcerer. "If you want to come, you can," she said. "It probably won't be too exciting, but you can meet the dwarf that we are going to help."

[Breila]

"Thank you" Ouragana says. "You know, I have been studying ancient history. It will be exiting to get to a true historical site."

[Nuke]

Val returns to the common room and finds a seat at the bar. "Ale." She looks around, planning on killing a few hours.

[HorizonsDream]

Jocelyn stands from the table, motioning for Ouragana to follow her towards the temple. "Afraid I don't know much about ancient history," she admits. "I'm just...helping out a person in need." That was what she was supposed to do anyway, or at least that is what she thought she was supposed to do.

[Breila]

"Then perhaps we will make a good team" Ouragana says with a smile as she follows. "My curiosity and your desire to help."

When they reach the temple, Ouragana will look at the building style, to get an idea of how old that building may be.

[Jenara]

Arei gets her room key, takes her things upstairs (putting her valuables in the safe) and comes down wearing her white dress, and a stiletto on her belt.

"Wine." She orders, sitting down near Val, her eyes scanning the room, "So we are not needed it seems." She winks and sits back in the chair.

Brock brings Val an ale and Areilon a wine. Both cost five coppers.

When Ouragana and Jocelyn reach the temple, the mage notes that the building is hardly ancient. It can't possibly be older than a century or so, at most. Inside, Kohen Truestone and a pair of initiates are going over some scrolls at a large mahogany desk.

Ouragana gestures to Jocelyn to start the conversation, since she is the one who has met the people before.
