Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
It takes a few seconds, but Imani finally opens the door to let the gnome inside. "What do you wish to speak to me about?" she asks.
Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
"Do you speak common?" Jerrard asks slowly, looking around curiously.
Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
"Yes, of course," the woman says, switching to the language easily enough. "How can I help you two young men? Foreigners, are you?" she asks, noticing their skin tone and Jerrard's accent. "Worry not, I have girls from all walks of life, whatever will tickle your fancy, I'm sure."
Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
"Could we take a look at who you have?" Jerrard asks hiding his blushes, "I am not sure." He turns to Thuskar, "Do you have a preference?"
Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
Thuskar shrugs. "Got any elves?"
"We indeed do, a lovely Silvanesti, in fact," the woman says. "Please, come this way."
She leads them down a hall and into another room. As they approach, she claps her hands loudly and says, "Look alive, girls! We have company!"
When they step inside, they find themselves in a medium sized room with sofas against each wall and small piles of plush pillows strewn about. A number of women have all lined up, like soldiers being inspected by their superior officer. They are all scantly clad, wearing thin veils and adorned with make-up.
There are ten women altogether. They include three Khurish women, a dark-skinned Ergothian, a fair western woman (possibly Solamnic or from near there), a dwarf, a couple of half-elves, a downright gorgeous elf woman, and a very tall and muscular half-ogress. "These are the best of the best of our women," the frumpy woman says. "Their prices vary, but I promise regardless you won't be disappointed."

Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
Jerrard looks at the women with interest, he was a man, there was no denying that, women with barely any clothes on were definitely interesting.
"I have a friend who asked me if you have anything." He pauses "Smaller? And how much are we talking?"

Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
"The most expensive is the elf, she costs a dozen steel for the hour," the woman explains. "The others are much less so, ranging around eight to ten silver. They do come cheaper than that, but...as I said, these are the best of the best."
She raises her eyebrows, then nods knowingly to Jerrard. "Ahh, I see. And how small does your 'friend' like them? I do have a few girls as young as twelve, but they cost extra. But if you--err, I mean, if your 'friend' isn't looking to spend much, I do have a couple of kender. An hour with one of them is merely a silver piece."

Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
He promised Thuskar he would pay, (can we assume he took some of his money from the chest? Just to move things along, 5pp)
"I believe my friend here would like some time with the young elf." He says placing 2 stl and 2 pp in his hand, "I would like to talk to one of the Kender, just to see if they suit my friend, I will pay of course."

Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
"Of course, of course," you friend has excellent taste," she says. Thuskar actually seems a bit surprised, but isn't one to argue. Smiling, the Silvanesti takes him by the hand and leads him to a private room.
The owner pockets the money, then gestures to Jerrard. "This way, please."
Returning to the hallway, Jerrard notes there are a couple of guards patrolling the hall. They are armed in leather armor and carry blades at their sides.
The woman leads Jerrard further down the hall to a room flanked by another pair of guards. Nodding to them, the woman approaches the door and pulls out a key. The guards step aside so she can unlock it. Then she steps inside, gesturing for Jerrard to follow.
The room they enter is dark, until she lights a lantern to illuminate it. It's a small room, largely used for storage from the looks of it. In the corner are a pair of kender, chained to the wall by their necks and legs. Their arms are not chained, on account that their hands are missing. Their wrists simply end with little stumps.
The kender blink, not accustomed to the light. They appear malnourished and weak, because they barely make a fuss.
"If your 'friend' wants one, we can move one to a room and chain it to the bed. It's better that way, or else they try to run," the woman explains.

"Just a small thing, and nothing to disturb your thoughts or influence the decision you must take" Babushka reassures her. "I want to take Locky out for some exploring or maybe shopping, but I don't want to cause a scandal. Are there kinds of shops where it would be inappropriate for Locky and me to go? In my home area, it would look strange for a woman to enter a tobacco shop, for example" she tells Imani.

Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
"Honestly, women aren't allowed to go anywhere without a man," Imani explains. "You probably got away with going to the brothel mostly because people probably believed you to be children."
Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
"Well, then we'll have to take Ulster with us" Babushka sighs. She moves to leave the room, but turns back again. "I must apologise for my unfriendliness towards you. I am uncomfortable in this land which is strange to me, and I took it out on you. I am sorry."

Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
Imani bows her head slightly to the gnome to show that she accepts the apology. "I must ask before you leave. Is there something specific that you are looking for while out in town?"
Re: The Sarcophagus Legion VI
Babushka laughs softly. "No, not really. Mostly, I want to keep Locky occupied. She grows restless when she has to stay in one place and will do silly things. But we did like the way the inn is furnished here, the cushions and low tables are nicer for people of different body sizes than the tables and chairs in our culture. So we might look at these"

"I think Ulster is going to be bored," Imani says with a light laugh.
