Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh (This is the Game Thread)

Desolate and abandoned, the evil alchemist’s mansion stands alone on the cliff, looking out towards the sea. Mysterious lights and ghostly hauntings have kept away the people of Saltmarsh, despite rumours of a fabulous forgotten treasure. What is its sinister secret?

Forum rules
AD&D 2nd Edition.
PHB and Complete Books are Acceptable.
Mages Can use the Spell compendium.

4d6, drop lowest arrange to taste.
One +1 Weapon/Armor, 1 Misc Item.

Daily posts are preferred, if you are gone for over a week with no explanation your PC will be NPC'ed :)

Gunter goes for the hole and tries his best to slide through the first hole left by the skeleton pulling Gudrum, sliding inside he stumbles over a outlying rock, flying face first into the path of the skeletons. Sliding directly into Skeleton 3, smashing its legs.

Vee jabs her staff into the skeleton facing her, causing it to fall backwards a few steps.

Gunter fails a Dex check, (narrowly)
Vee hits skeleton No. 4 for 5 damage.

As it is not possible to throw the stone without risk to Vee or Gunter, Kim waits for a clear shot

"All we have to do is close the trap door and put a weight on it," Amon points out. He shakes his head. He was wasting his breath. For whatever reason, his teammates were determined to smash all of these undead even though there was no compelling reason to do so.

Unable to do anything that wouldn't just make matters worse, he stands by and waits in case someone needs help.

Brax frowns, mace in hand she looks to Amon in agreement. "I am unsure as to the purpose of defeating such creatures, or, well why they are here." She raises her mace, and scans the room.

"My more pressing concern is why someone would go through the trouble of animating skeletons and then brick them up," Amon says. "Unless someone or something animated them after they were bricked up." He shudders at the implications.

Gudrum is still within the area of the Skeletons, Gunter lays prone the remaining members of the group are on the otherside.

The remaining Skeletons turn suddenly, almost as if they see Gunter with their unseeing eyes. The broken Skeleton before the Ranger balls its bones into a fists, pummeling him.
1d20=2 Miss.

The remaining Skeleton advances on the wall once more.

Kim moves into the room, careful not to stand in Amon's path of fire, to clear the stairs for a quick retreat, still looking for an opportunity to throw the rock without hurting someone of the group.

Searos drops the rock and draws his sword, deciding the best way to survive is to keep his giant meat shield alive. He moves into the room with the skelatons.
