Locky choking uses all the strength in her little body to push at the creature, (Roll 1d100=2, sooooo damn close, minutes silence please).

She tries to scream, to shout but the sound is muffled by the creature.

Getting anoyed Jerrard tries to drive his sword through the creature and pull it away from Locky, using all of his strength.

(Roll 1d20: 16 hit AC 2, Dmg 1d6+2 = 7)

If successful he will leave the sword in the creature and attempt to pull it away from Locky.

Locky continues to try and wretch free of the monster's grasp. She comes close, painfully close, but the creature quickly tightens its grip again. Shay and Jerrard both strike with their swords, but neither seems capable of piercing the creature's overly thick hide.

While the men slash at the creature, Babushka takes her old dagger out of its boot sheath, now using two daggers.

(ooc: I roll the dice without any bonuses and penalties, these are to be added by Jaded DM, THAC0=17)

Not missing a beat, Babushka pulls out another dagger and continues her assault. The first dagger sinks into the creature's hide, causing it some mild pain, but the second dagger is unable to pierce the creature's hide at all.

Jerrard attacks the creature once more with his sword, stabbing towards the creatures body.

(Roll 1:
1d20 die results: 7 miss
1d6 die results: 4+2 =6)

(Roll 2:
1d20 die results: 19 AC-1
1d6 die results: 5+2 =7)

(If the second strike hits he will keep it stuck inside the creature, and attempt to pull it away from Locky, if not, can someone help Locky get free?)

Locky continues struggling, but to no avail. She notices the edge of her vision going black, and dimly realizes she is losing consciousness. However, the kender is sturdier than she appears, and manages to mentally push back the blackness, at least for a moment more. As interesting an experience that suffocating might be, she isn't quite ready to meet Fizban in person just yet!

Meanwhile, Shay jumps up with a battle cry and sinks his blade to the hilt into the creature's chest. This would have been a mortal blow for many, but the creature just refuses to die!

Jerrard strikes again, as well, but his first blow is not strong enough to pierce the creature's hide. His second blow is, however. Once the blade is inside, he attempts to use it as leverage to move the creature away from Locky. But as the creature is holding the kender aloft, her little feet kicking in mid-air, any attempt to move the monster just moves her with it.

The kender's face is turning bright red from the exertion of not breathing, and it's clear that if something isn't done soon, the party's efforts to save her may wind up having been in vain.

Not knowing what else to do, Babuska attempts to sink her two daggers into the creature, full of anger against that villain who perverts nature like that.

Babushka blinks away her tears and stabs again and again. The first dagger sinks in, but the second one fails to. However, when she pulls the dagger out, a thick, black and viscous liquid starts to ooze out of its many wounds.

Is it possible the party has finally managed to hit whatever passes for an internal organ? If so, they are very close to finishing it off...but will it be in time to save Locky?

1d20=20, 1d6+2=7 Hit AC -2, Critical hit (Does damage just stay the same then?)

Jerrard twists his blade about in the monsters insides, before withdrawing it and plunging it into the creature once more.

At Jerrard's strike, the shambling monster sways as more of that black liquid spills from its wounds. The creature suddenly drops Locky to the ground, where she lies sputtering, coughing, and gasping for air. With a soft groan, the monster collapses to the ground a moment later, falling to pieces. It is now nothing more than a pile of grassy moss and leaves, losing its humanoid shape altogether.

Shay hurries over to Locky and kneels by her. "You've got the luck of Branchala, that's for damned sure," he says, relief clear on his face. "You going to be all right?"

(OOC: For future reference, when anyone rolls a critical hit, roll for damage twice. For Jerrard's short sword, for instance, a critical hit would do 2d6+4 damage.)

Remembering how she dislikes waking up looking into a ring of faces, Babushka stays where she is. She looks at Jerrard and if their eyes meet, she gives the thumbs-up. A great sigh of relief leaves her chest.

"Ohhhhhhh." Locky comes round slowly, coughing and choking, her breath is ragged.

"That.... Was.... Interesting. I think I saw Fizban" She looks up at the Party, barely able to move.. "I think I need a rest, for a short while."
