Since putting a dagger away or throwing it takes the same time, Babushka throws her daggers at the plant.

(ooc: I rolled in my previous post, but since there wasn't time for the action in that round, maybe I get a new roll?

Locky finds that despite death, the snagwort is still stuck to both her vestments and her hoopak and refuses to yield. The base of the plant is fine to touch, it is only the tendrils themselves that are covered in the strange adhesive glue.

Jerrard fires two arrows into the first plant, scoring direct hits. The snagwort deflates and then drops to the ground, lifeless. Babushka throws a dagger at the same time, but misses. Luckily, it didn't matter.

Shay retrieves his daggers and knife, replacing them on his belt.

Locky cannot remove the hoopak from the tendril or from her vestments.
Jerrard attacks with his bow. (13): 8 damage. (12): 7 damage. Hanging Snagwort 01 dies.
Babushka throws a dagger. (8): Miss.

Combat Ends

"That was very yucky!" Locky exclaims, trying in vain to remove the plant. She'll find the nearest dagger (ie one she's thrown).

"I need to change." Being a Kender and having no real understanding of the word 'Shame' Locky retrieves some spare clothes, strips by removing anything that got stuck to the plant (with the dagger if she has to).

She'll then set to work cutting off anything she can off her hoopak.

"That was very interesting, what strange looking plants, so who are you? Red robes, does that mean you are on our side, or your own side? Oh I never got sides... Speaking of sides my head does rather hurt..." She rambles on as she cuts off the tree as much as she can. "Very nice shooting, they rather caught me unawares."

Jerrard attempts to retrieve his arrows before he says anything more, The human seemed quiet, as did the Gnome, but a Kender? He honestly thought the old cleric was lying, Caron said nothing about a Kender.

"My name is Jerrard Foss, I was sent here by my Master to discover what strange mystery has befallen this village. It appears I will be aiding you." With that he pauses and takes a look at the Kenders weapon. Does he know of anything that might remove the tendrills?

The gnome picks up her dagger, too, and replaces it in its sheath in her boot. She then turns and extends her hand to Jerrard.

"Thank you, Jerrard. You were of great help. My name is Kummussmvaldmettle, but to the world I am known as Babushka. It is so good to have you here. As you can see, we managed to get into trouble right from the start."

She then picks up a part of Locky's clothes (trying not to look at the partly naked Kender) and inspects the plant sticking to it, taking care not to touch it. For that, she'll move close to the light the two humans have brought into the cavern. Does she know anything about it (herbalism skill)?

She turns to Jerrard: "Do you know anything about plants in general or this one in particular?"

After changing her clothes, Locky sets to carving a hunk off her hoopak to free it. This is no easy task, as she must be incredibly careful to not let her dagger accidentally touch the tendril in the process.

Jerrard examines the plants. He knew they weren't magical, despite how strange they were. That meant the adhesive they excreted would eventually break down naturally...although it could take hours, maybe even days.

Babushka wonders if she might create some kind of solvent to dissolve the glue, but she can't think of any formula that might work on such a powerful adhesive.

After collecting his daggers, Shay approaches the newcomer, Jerrard. "You're Magi?" he asks. "Why would the Conclave be concerned about some small village?"

Locky finds a piece of plant and places it in her pouch. All this talk of magic and concaves was beyond her. She was however interested in the pouches the mage carries.

jerrard looks to them, "My master cares for the balance, and the misuse of magic, someone is using high level magic, without permission" he gives a wry smile, his eyes on the Kender.

Shay raises a brow skeptically, but seems to accept that explanation. For now, at any rate. Shrugging, he says, "Well, welcome to the group, I guess."

Babushka moves to the entrance now no longer guarded by the snagworts. She carefully looks into the next chamber with her infravision. If nothing threatening is lurking there, ready to strike, she turns to the rest of the party:

"I don't know how it is with you, but it has been quite some time since my last meal. Also, we've just had a fight. What about finding a place to rest and eat? This could also help us getting to know each other better."

In addition, she will tell the others what she has seen in the next chamber.

(ooc: If only one of us has seen/heard/noticed something, is it assumed that they tell it to the rest of the group or do we have to tell each other these things explicitely? /ooc)

Babushka doesn't see any immediate danger up ahead. Beyond the chamber she is in is a winding tunnel. She does hear the sound or rushing water up ahead, however. Perhaps another waterfall?

(OOC: It's usually the latter in my games.)

Jerrard looks to Babushka as she returns "My apologizes, I did not mean to ignore you, I was elsewhere. Yes I know something of plants, my research has been in that area. These were rare, but not magical. Many an unwary soul has been caught i suspect." What did you see? Your eyes are better than mine.

Looking at the Kender stripping he shrugs, "The glue will dissolve, it will take time, I suggest you take care, after all if this is what you get entering such a place, imagine what you will find further in?"

"As for your concerns master? I did not catch your name?" He points to Shay "The concerns of the Concave are not for non-wizards to worry about. I am here, I have saved you at this point in time, I suggest you find your weapons, keep the young one here under control and we will find out what is going on."

"Yes, food would be acceptable."

"Oh My name is Locky!" she reaches out her hand, sees the Mages glaring face and changes her mind "I did rather get myself in trouble, its very strange that sort of thing always"happens to me!" She finishes pulling on a fresh set of clothes and peers down the cavern.

"Where to now?"

"Locky, didn't you listen? Jerrard and I would like to eat something. And we better do it here, because the chamber ahead is small and empty, and after that there is a winding tunnel. The water is rushing loudly, so there might be another waterfall. If we do want to eat, I suggest we do it here. We have a lot of space, can watch this entrance here easily and no one can surprise us coming down that ladder - except if they can fly."

If nobody objects, Babushka will choose a place in the cavern with a good view of both the formerly guarded exit and the fungus ladder. She'll make herself comfortable and take out her rations. She'll also take out the map and other things she's picked up before coming down.

"Locky? All this is yours. The map is fine, do you think it is useful to add the depth below ground?"

Locky looks rather crestfallen for a second, she's never really been talked to like before "Oh of course, I suppose we could do that... " she looks downward, kicking a stone.

Her face lights up seeing her 'treasure' "Wow, these are mine? And yes that would be good" She grabs the map and starts scribbling.
