Act 3 Scene 2: Coffins and Crowns

"Wasn't it 'Feed the Meekulbrau?' " Mira asks curiously.

The group discusses their plan as they break the fast with a hearty repast. Cross tries once again to contact Fenrir, and finally the familiar responds through the bond. Here. Eating... It sends, a sensation of warm sunrise and a juicy morsel it is tearing apart.

So, to the berry-patch then? Merrick asks, rolling the map when they are done looking at it

"Works. I don't recall it being validated but I think, suspect really, that when the creature's body collapses through damage and fogs, the cloud is drawn to one of it's refuges," Jerry speculates. "I think it doubling back and so forth is unlikely. Might be wrong, but that's my opinion. So, recap: wooden stakes and mallet, garlic, holy water, fire, appropriate holy symbols presented forcefully by believers. Magic weapons can damage it, but those wounds heal quickly."

This is correct with respect to how Vampires from Faerun operate, which is where Jerry's father is from so it stands to logic. She would know specifically that a vampire reduced to fog by damage has about 2 hours to reach it's haven or it will be completely destroyed. It regains its corporeal form after 8 hours, meaning that now that it is morning it should have a body they can stake or just drag out into the sun... So long as they find him before nightfall

He pulls out the note.
"'feeding' Meekulberry bushes across the river..." He grunts. "Still not sure why you would feed a bush."

"Yes Merrick. It's more hunch than deduction. That's assuming the fog, at its rate of travel, could reach that area in less than two hours," replies Jerry. She looks across at any folk who followed it and have knowledge of tracking.

[Jenara]

"Pyros, there are times when asking such questions lead you down places you don't want to go..." Mira comments remembering just how much of the wine she had drunk..

[Nocturno]

Awkwardly, "I guess it is too late, I can't unask it. And it seems like we need to find out anyway."

[Jenara]

"Yes we do. But as one who has drunk a LOT of it, I scared at what the answer is." She admits a little worried, her hand gripping the table. "What if .. they put... something in it."

Just after Kybalion asks, as if on cue, the table is flooded with food and drink. Half coherent, he smiles and sits down to enjoy the repast before him along with the others. He listens trying to understand what is being spoken. He catches snippets of elven in amongst the local cant that he tries to figure out. It’s hard for someone that didn’t spend that much time learning how to read and write in his early years. Never mind though. The food is excellent and the beverages top notch and soon he has had his fill. “When do we go find this leech”, he inserts hoping to get some action going, “I want to secure this place against such foul things.”

He nods as Mira reminds him dreams can portend many things. He hoped it wasn't true in this case, believing his brother far from here. Safely tilling horrors far in the north he hoped. He pushed those thoughts from his mind, and ate and drank heartily...for tomorrow...or today we...it dies. "A full belly and a mindful purpose, best to start our tasks as quickly as supply ourselves to face the leech," he states wiping the bits of breakfast from his beard.

"So, we good to go now?" Jerry pushes after folks have had something to eat. "Yes, I know, Pyros, second breakfast. Or third. Stick it in your pockets and munch on the hoof. Everyone that's coming, get your gear and let's be off." She slides her plate away and stands, moving away fro mthe table.

[Jenara]

"We are, give me a few moments?" Mira asks softly as she presses her hand on Jerry's shoulder, "I just need to talk to Sabrina." taking a pastry she approaches the Girl.

(Off to private thread....)

She returns with a smile, (Assuming there is one along the way) "Are you happy to escort Sabrina somewhere on the way?" She asks with a hopeful air, "My shirt was ruined and so was hers, and.. well she needs to dress the part."

"Thank you." Sabrina speaks in soft elven.

Jerry nods to Mira then checks yet equipment again before graviating towards Merrick. "You good?"

Pyros checks his tar and lard pots.
Then looks to see if he has a torch, and if he ever attached his chain sling pouch.
"I have a surprise for this thing if we find it lurking about."
