Re: Return [To Madness]: Act 1, Scene 2
"I wonder if they are using Pass Wall every time the way to go through." Jag muses.
He will go and look at the runes again. Does anything match up with maybe a scroll like script for a spell?

"Well this is rather odd. Why put a movable stone, only to block it. Maybe it can move sideways?
He will start looking for other triggers, or levers.

Re: Return [To Madness]: Act 1, Scene 2
Jag ponders the current configuration, which doesn't seem to make much sense. Jag considers the recent circumstances, that one of the snake-man enemies was a Priest and the last to pass through. It is possible the stone berm was not original to the construction, but an effort by a fleeing enemy to impede their path by Shaping the very Stone of the floor to block the entrance...
Re: Return [To Madness]: Act 1, Scene 2
"Those evil vixens. They formed the stone after then exited the room. I am kind of jealous of the inventiveness."
He sighs.
"It seems we might need to blast this big rock, as a last resort though. Did we have any other leads on direction?"

Re: Return [To Madness]: Act 1, Scene 2
[There is no indication or clue so far the block slides any other way. Both Allikhain and Jag have Disintegrate so either one can use that. Do you want to target the Block North or the Blue door (with all the runes) East, or one each?]
Re: Return [To Madness]: Act 1, Scene 2
“Based on what I am observing in the room if one of us with stone shape or maybe some kind of disintegration type spell used on this door would be the best thing. I could do it but it will take I bit of time to create a large enough opening for all of us.” Axid remarks.

"Well, we have all the time in the world..." Ke'Sha says, and then adds while looking at his minions, "At least some of us. But a point to consider, Mr. Axid, you can see behind the stone slab, can you also see through the east and west doors in the other room? Maybe there is just a normal passage to there from here. By the way, maybe you can see behind the wall with all the strange markings here. (ooc: the blue door)"

Re: Return [To Madness]: Act 1, Scene 2
“Will a single disintegrate get us through this ten-foot cube of stone? My understanding is that its volume is limited if not used against a living creature. Would dispelling the magic work to restore the stone to its previous shape? I confess I am uncertain. Should that fail, I think a dimensional door would be better than using a powerful spell such as disintegrate.”
Stephen pauses. “I confess I’m curious about this dragon corpse. Do we have any idea how long it’s been dead? If it’s still decaying, it has probably only been a month or two; maybe a year at most. Does that mean that a resurrection spell could restore it to life? I would not mind having a bronze dragon as an ally. We could bring it back to camp and have Master Ke’Sha prepare the spell for tomorrow.”

Re: Return [To Madness]: Act 1, Scene 2
Allikhain replies, The Disintegration spell could indeed destroy the entire block if it is 10 feet thick. In fact, a 10x10x10 ft block is the upper limitation of the spell for inorganic material... without futher metamagic manipulation, that is. The stone berm cannot be dispelled, as it is simply stone in a different shape now. There is no lingering magic for a Dispel to effect. That said, if we get someone inside they could use a new instance of Stone Shape to flatten the berm out.
Re: Return [To Madness]: Act 1, Scene 2
Axid ceases the clairvoyance and open a Dimension Door into the room where the highly dead bronze dragon is.

"I was hoping for a different method but we should be making way. You might experience a bit of disorientation and may be limited in your actions for a moment once your are in the room. I saw nothing else in the room but the dragon hanging from the ceiling so I think we should be safe for travel."

Re: Return [To Madness]: Act 1, Scene 2
Stephen braces himself and enters the portal quickly, then moves aside so others can follow.
==================================
I mixed up the area of effect for Disintegrate. There was a discussion on Dragonsfoot that touched on the psionic and magical versions. I know that psionic disintegrate gets about 8 cubic feet, and thought that magical was 10 cubic feet, which is very different from a 10-foot cube.
