Act 3 Scene 1: Arrivals and Leavetakings

[Styrius]

The scene in this room is digusting to Kybalion. “What kind sick wankers did this?! I hope the Bitch Queen deals with these damned creatures that did this!” Using his pole arm, he cuts the wolf pelts down.

"Why?! Poor Ontash, I thought he would be safe after we eliminated Jack!" Gears start spinning.

So it should be obvious even to Pyros that this is clearly a meeting room for the wolfweres.

Looking at all the chairs, and the setup.

"How many of these monsters can there be?"

[Styrius]

Kybalion finishes his slicing circuit of the room. "Those poor wolves. Wolves are not monsters! This has to be That foul monster's lair. or am I missing something? he asks.

Kybalion begins the effort of cutting down the thick furs lining the sloped roofing and ceiling. The warrior notes that many seem too large for normal wolves or even dire wolves as they fall to the fur-lined floor. It takes several minutes to make even a dent in the hundreds that must be coating every surface here. Extensive lengths were gone to in order to prepare the room in this way. Airand shakes his head at the findings, but keeps watch in the hallway; listening for anyone else approaching.

Pyros recognizes the clothing and the build of the man, despite his mangled features. He scans the room, the thirteen chairs and candles seem symbolic of some dark council. Jerry looks up from where she is going through the desk and comes to join the Kender, a small piece of paper in her hand. She regards the deceased sadly, Perhaps this was retaliation... for Jackques...? She asks. After a moment she holds the paper out for Pyros to see. It is a list of names, with some crossed out...

At Kybalion's comment the half-elven cleric shakes her head. I doubt my erstwhile father had a hand in this. This place seems well and long established... The... creature, she corrects herself that followed me through the mists to this world has not been here any longer than I; little more than a week or two. This seems the work of months if not many years... I fear that he has slipped our grasp for now... Unless the inn holds further secrets. She muses.

"Do you think Haldrake knows about this room? If he does, why does he have our name on a list!?!"
Gears spinning even more.
"We should probably tell the group."

[Styrius]

“What are these pelts? They seem tough. Tougher than wolves that I know of. This place is madness! And that poor soul that has been desecrated. May that soul rest in peace. We need to find that coward that led us here and put an end on its life.”

[Nocturno]

Do the pelts seem like wolf-were pelts to Pyros? Would he even know the difference?

Some of the pelts are clearly from Dire Wolves, others are just as clearly of a different shape and possibly from some type of Wolf-man

With some the pelts cut, Kybalion starts looking behind the pelts hoping to find something other than fleas.

"Some of these are pelts of the wolfmen! What is this place!! Our names, this cage, Ontash, the pelts! This place is awful."
He shakes his head.

"Any other papers? Or something else that seems odd?" He will ask Jerry.

Kybalion looks behind the pelts but only sees the wood slats of the wall.

There are only writing supplies in the desk aside from that note. Jerry answers

[Styrius]

“The cowards is not in here. We need to explore this place further.” Kybalion moves towards the door. “Unless there is more you think can be found here.”
