The Knight rises, and bends himself at the waist, bowing to the lady. "Sir Karl Mordrane Sularia, Knight of the Sword, at your Service my lady." He utters in a formal form of Common, and with that he motions to the seat he had just departed, "I would be pleased if you joined us. I believe that Lady Greystar also hails from your homeland." He motions to the female Half elf.
" Kid never learned to clear a room. Doors and corners, I told him. Doors and corners."

Del smiles at the Knight "Much obliged Sir Karl, don't mind if I do."

Taking the seat she turns to the half elf and asks "Where do you hail from?"

Ah, It is nice to meet a fellow Waterdhavian. The half-elven woman smiles, continuing the conversation in Elven. Geraldine Greystar, priestess of Mystra. she adds, and extends her hand to shake.

Ah, yes the hair. Cross says. Actually we've determined that Mira, Karl and myself are from the same continent, but have never heard of this Waterdeep, or the lands Jerry talks about. Likewise she has never even heard of the planet of Krynn! Much less our homelands.

The violet-eyed male half-elf beside Jerry chimes in. Merrick Elosian. It's quite the puzzle for myself as well. You see I come from a neighboring country to where we are now named Sithicus. They have some trade with Kartakass, and so I decided to travel to... erm... avoid social issues... he says, in a flat almost a-tonal elven.

Ooh, another wayward traveler? A light female voice calls out nearby. At first Tarlyn might mistake her for a a young teen but soon she realizes the 4 ft tall blonde in blue and white robes is actually a halfling of some kind! Hi! she says with a cheery wave. I'm Elsa! Elsa Tallfellow.

Del turns towards Geraldine, grinning. "Well, Geraldine I have heard of mystra if only because my Father is a Priest of Lathander and my

deceased mother was a Priestess of the Dancing Maiden,"
and she says this with a straight face, knowing it's implication. She figures a little

trust may go a long way here, hopefully.

Looking at Cross she says "I have only heard tales of Krynn from my father who travelled there briefly, if only to study."

Speaking to Merrick she says "I have never heard of Kartakass, but someone told a little about Sithicus when I was younger."

"Hello there yourself, Elsa! Nice to meet you too. One of my good friends back home is halfling, but I Could never really get

the language down pat,"
she says with a smile. "I have to admit I never saw anyone with a small stature eat so much, it really

amazes me."

After singing a few more songs Mira rises, placing the lute by the stool as she gives a small bow. "Nous reviendrons sous peu, merci." She explains, taking Sabrina's hand she heads to the table with the others, finding two seats as she does so.

"First, and don't take this the wrong way, but unless that Lute is for show you should know never to talk to a Performer in the middle of a set." She announces in Elven without warning, and then her face softens. "Mira Rhelarwen, or La gitane rouge, formerly of Palathalas, most recently of Harmonia." She places a hand on her chest and bows. "This is my Musical Partner Sabrina." She grasps the girl around the waist, ever so gently moving her closer to the group. "Wasn't she wonderful?"

"So, I expect you are from some far away place, Mists were involved and you ended up here?" She asks, this time switching to Common, not yet wanting to expose Sabrina to that, "Elle vient d'un autre endroit comme moi." she switches to the musical language explaining to Sabrina.
" Kid never learned to clear a room. Doors and corners, I told him. Doors and corners."

Del smiles at Mira, nodding. Though she understands the woman perfectly, she still will nto change her ways and principles.

"Well met, Mira. Sorry to have disturbed your set, I do understand your point of view, and yes I do Like to play.

I mostly play for my own pleasure and can sing but prefer just playing how I feel at the time. It calms my soul."

Taking a sip of her tea, she swallows, then continues.

"I guess you could say that "mists" brought me here...? And yes, she was quite enjoyable as were you. Well done, young lady "

she says to Sabrina with a friendly nod and smile.

Turning to look at everyone, she pauses. Sighs then takes a deep breath and stretches.

"Well I thank you all for your warm welcome. Would it be too much trouble to ask one of you to translate for me? I would like a

room. And if it was not too much of an imposition, maybe tell me about this ,,, Harmonia and Kartakass? Also, what can an adventurer

like myself do for work around here?"

The girl Sabrina curtsies at the compliment, sensing the tone though she doesn't understand the words. She squeezes Mira's hand in excitement at her perceived success.

The violet eyed half-elven local affirms that they can indeed translate for her, and in answer to Del's questions:
Well, he begins, Harmonia is a smallish town of around 1500, and the language of the region is named after it. It is slightly older and slightly smaller than where we are now, which is the capital of Skald. The land of Kartakass is... well... fairly rural. Heavily wooded, and quite enamored with an... almost obsessive musical culture.

The short haired blond half-elf lays a forestalling arm on his and smiles, amused at her companion. You'll be telling her the main exports next. She teases. The dark haired half-elf blinks, Oh... did I not? completely misunderstanding the social cue. Turning to Del he says, in all seriousness. Wine and Beets. The Meekulbrau is quite good, though some say it is an acquired taste. He replies, raising his glass in toast and taking a sip. The crimson liquid smudges a little at the corner of his mouth, looking disturbingly like dried blood.

===
A room will be 5 sp, the tea 3 cp.

They have wines for various prices, and nice filling hot meals for 3-5sp depending on the choices

OOC : Removed from sheet room and tea cost

"Thank you kindly for your information! Much appreciated."

Sitting back a bit, Del unstraps her Lute and slips it over her shoulder, smiling.

"Ahhhh.." she grins and starts pluckng the strings, humming only. Closing her eyes she

continues , then starts whistling to her plucking fingers, clearly content and relaxed.

Elsa, the halfling, nods and smiles at Del's musical addition during the break. It is the seeming native Merrick, however, who responds more to her curiosities. Actually, along here as far as jobs or what to do to earn a livling... it really depends on what one is capable of and in pursuit of to answer that. he concludes

The white-haired elf ignores and interrupts somewhat abruptly. Most of us are looking for some way home... to our own regions... with our people... he adds shortly; implying that some of those nearby were similarly displaced.

Jerry, the blonde half-elven cleric picks up the discussion. We were assured by one Akriel, a human woman, that the Crown...err... um... an object we have been seeking.. erm... might have the power to restore each of us to our home.. lands.. she adds

Del replies calmly "I'm in the pursuit of knowledge and mayhap more of that.

Looking to the white haired elf she replies "I agree that any of us not from here should try to find ways home, but in the meantime we

should make do with our situation at best, until we do of course find a way back home."

Looking at Jerry curiously she adds.

"So, who is this Akriel and what is this Crown you speak of? Sort of sounds like you shouldn't of mentioned this....."

Jerry flushes a little, but a stern countenance comes over her and she seems not likely to say much more.

Cross, the white-haired elf, seems not to notice the social cue and continues. Ah, yes. We had agreed recently to deliver it to her betrothed. A rather learned doctor not far to the north who has been researching it recently at her behest. They seem to think it may be powerful enough to send us all home. he adds hopefully, in elven.

Del notices this but refrains from adding , as it were.

"Well, what are you waiting for? The Apocalypse maybe? If it can get you home then, you should try."

Well, we only received it tonight. It is dangerous to travel at night in this land, so we are waiting only for the morning.

Mira stays quiet for a moment, she does give the others a look that in her eyes says 'And why are you telling a stranger this?' but she keeps that thought to herself, noting the Girl had some talent she listens.

"Elle a aimé ton chant et a dit que tu étais plutôt "agréable." She explains, turning to Sabrina who she holds near whispering something else as she does so.
"Make the most of it is what I have been trying to do, as you can see." Mira explains as she gives Elsa a quick kiss on the cheek and drags Sabrina to get a small meal between sets.

---------------

"Lady Mira has been here the longest, apart from Merrick and Young Sabrina of course." Karl explains, "She I have learnt takes her music very seriously, as do the people here. I have a life that I would like to return to, just as I suspect you do. Her's..." He looks to Elsa for thoughts. "Is anyone's guess."

"Travelling at night here, is not advisable." Is all he says on the matter.
" Kid never learned to clear a room. Doors and corners, I told him. Doors and corners."
