"I know some good ones." Sue will lead them to his street where he has been buying food and giving it out to the beggars.

"I've been getting in the good graces with the kebabs from this one." Sue will again buy 5 extras to bribe the beggars around his safe house.
For any info they might have,and for them to forget he went by.

"Bring your food with us, I have a comfortable safe place we can eat and rest."

He will make sure to buy a good cask of ale, and ample food for himself and the others.

He will also make sure they are not being followed. Doubling back at least 3 times.

A passer-by looks shocked and says, "You'll be arrested if you go around assaulting vendors!" and then backs off into the crowd.

Having decided where they're headed for food, Jim leads the trio into an out of the way alley to check out the tip from the mystery buyer. The black velvet pouch contains fifteen platinum suns, all stamped with a road traveling into a sunrise*, the symbol of Lathander and dated two years ago, 1372DR.

The winding alley branches south towards Trades Ward and east towards the City of The Dead.

Continuing south Jim rounds a corner to see a pair of elves chatting quietly, wineglasses in hand. The elves float in midair, surrounded by a glowing nimbus of blue light. They seem to ignore Jim and his companions.

Sue recalls that the platinum coins commemorate the twenty five year anniversary of the reopening of Waterdeep's temple to Lathander, Spires of the Morning. It was badly damaged in 1345 DR during the Night of Temple Fires, but was repaired later the same year. Built of pink marble, the three-story cathedral is capped by seven spires of copper, gold, and silver that gleam with the reflected glory of dawn's first light.

The coins are worth twice their face value to a collector.

The elves?

Jim marks them as being there, but seeing nothing from them that directly affects his party, he ignores them for now and continues on his way.

Woody is not impressed but thinks we should see what they have to offer.

"Let's go see what those elves are up too. I'm not impressed, but I'm curious why they would be making such a display." "Follow me."

If the party follows Woody will approach the elves. "Excuse me friends, if I may call you that. Why are you displaying your magic powers in plain sight for everyone to see?"

Jim moves on further down the alley but remains in sight.
Woody moves closer and talks to the elves. They seem to ignore him.
Sue keeps careful watch on Woody and the elves. The floating pair rotate slightly in a circle in an anticlockwise direction..

Woody will cast mage hand and make the hand move in the middle of the elves to get their attention.

"I wouldn't do that."

"They might have something to tell us."

"How do you suggest we get their attention Sue?"

"Do you suggest we keep watching for a period of time to see is they start paying attention to us?"
