Re: Untangling the Webs - Everyone
Tornak pipes up "I'm good to keep going, I'll help you check out the the rest of the house GG." Looking at the halfling fighter he continues with a toothy grin "Catch your breath, we'll make sure it's safe to leave. If we get in any trouble just follow the screams."
Re: Untangling the Webs - Everyone
Flatbelly watch the conversation silently while carefully smelling the liquid and checking if it the same poison that was smeared on the enemies weapons. He allows Tornak to check the liquid and if indeed it is the poison would let anyone who wants to use it on their weapons. Once all ready to move he joins at the rear (but before the rearguard).

(OOC: I think Drows are known to use poisons, right? Are they immune to their poisons?)

Re: Untangling the Webs - Everyone
With searching the bodies seemingly wrapped up, the groups lines up to head up the stairs.
Re: Untangling the Webs - Everyone
GG moves up the stairs.
As they reach they store room above he gestures for quiet, one finger against his lips, "Shhh!" With methodically careful steps [Stealth +7] GG makes a circuit of the room and, if nothing presnts itself, continues up the stairs to the next level of the house.

I wasn't being lazy; I'd assumed GM might want to roll the Stealth instead of me..

Re: Untangling the Webs - Everyone
Tornak follows GG giving him a bit of a start but sticking close enough to attempt to cover him with his crossbow.
Stealth(7): [1d20+7]=4+7=11
OOC - Stealth twins!!
(the t is silent...)

About half way up the stairs you notice the silence again. It settles in like a weight, enveloping you like a thick luxurious robe.

I'll need to pull up the ol map for the first level again.

Re: Untangling the Webs - Everyone
Renwick twirls the haft of his new axe and grins widely, looking around for any sign of ambush or enemy (darkvision from belt help at all?)
Re: Untangling the Webs - Everyone
You guys can correct marching order on roll 20.
The marching line is the way up the stairs imagine it curling around the corner and down.
It is lit, higher than dim light. I'm not hiding anything since it was explored before.

What is the brown square in the NW corner?
What is the brown square in the NW corner?
Re: Untangling the Webs - Everyone
It is 2 paneled walls that seem to hide the corner.
Re: Untangling the Webs - Everyone
CC is intrigued by the panelled off area and suspects it masks something significant.
======
Do the panels in the corner reach up to the celing and do they look to be of recent constructon?
Do they seem to mask a hole in the ceiling or floor?
Finally is there any sign of a door or hatch into that hidden area from this floor?

Re: Untangling the Webs - Everyone
Once GG arrives at the corner it is immediately obvious the panel infront of him slides to the side. You see an open are. Which smells of grease, and several ropes hanging down from above around the edges.

Re: Untangling the Webs - Everyone
Renwick follows and peers up into the dark to see if anything is lurking up near the ropes. Ropes on a ship could be used to descend quickly to the deck, perhaps something waited above in this place to Ambush them in the same manner
