Re: Act 2 Scene 2: “In Search of The Crown” (Game Thread)
Once realizing what has occurred, the gypsy turns his attention to the bard. "Milady? I must repay you in some manner. It is not our way to accept charity when one is still strong and healthy." Following along behind her he continues. "You must set upon me some reasonable term of commitment for my debt."
"It's quite a place. A place of good times and bad, of pain and growth, but in the end a place of great hope. - But if you ever do come aboard, remember one thing: No one there is exactly what he seems. But then, who is?"- G'Kar

"Just keep her from getting bit in half!" Pyros flashes back to the fight in the street.
"I think you find we support each other as new comers to this land." Cross says to Pytor in a kind of aloof manor as he watches Fenrir fly overhead.

Re: Act 2 Scene 2: “In Search of The Crown” (Game Thread)
Merrick smiles back at Jerry. Once the fees are dealt with, Mira leads the group down a wide cobblestone thoroughfare. The newcomers note various shops, and taverns, a pair of smithies, an odd looking little shop with a silver scale-shaped device like that of a snake, a clothier and various food carts.
The bard brings them to a large two-story building, the only one nearby that tall, which takes up the southwest corner ahead. A wider road leads past it from the southern gate and heads straight for the fortified structure on the central hill. As they draw near, they see a sign depicting a man seated on a bench with a staff propped beside him. As someone passes inside, the sound of a good, full common room wafts out along with the inviting aromas of food and ale.
The sounds of people talking and eating, and the warmth of a room full of people with a roaring fireplace washed over them. The inn was lightly crowded and decently kept, and they saw a pair of servers attentively addressing the needs of the patrons. Another tended the bar along with a hefty man in a white apron, who notes the group's arrival, and brightens visibly at the sight.
[Those who have been herr before recognize the inkeeper Guilliam]

"Its good to be back." The Bard announces to no one in particular as she enters the Common room (Pack with her things restocked once again), walking towards the Bar she raises a hand to Guilliam, a smile crossing her pretty featureas as she approaches.
"Greetings." She calls, reaching the bar, "Do you have room for a few wanderers? And perhaps a few horses?"

Pyros bounds to the bar and mimes for an ale and the meat platter they usually get when at the inn.
Hoping to avoid getting a cider again, he mimes a larger cup, and acts a bit drunk after the signing. He also draws out the plate and pretends to eat the meats from it.
He will also try to say: "Ale and meat good sir!" in Harmonian.
Language Check: [1d100] = 30
He will then sit and smile.
------------------------------------------------------
Cross is torn going in for a meal vs staying out with Fenrir.
"I am going to head into this "cage" for a meal. Do you care to join us?"

Adran will sit down next to Pyros and signal for the same meal of ale and meat platter as well, holding up two fingers. He will then turn around and take a look around the bar and see who is there and if anything of interest catches his eye.

"How long shall we be in this town?" Pytor asks. "I've a mind to go inquire around the local smithies for work if they have it."

Jerry goes along quietly with Merrick.
She quietly tries to assess if he actually liked the amulet if or he was just reacting appropriately to a present.

Just outside, Adrastia motions for a stable-boy to take her horse and shoulders her own bags, leaving the traveling supplies to be stored with the horse. [The boy can take Mist Cleaver as well if Pytor allows]. She then enters the inn behind the others.
Pyros rushes straight for the bar and begins miming out his order. The man there, who he recognizes from the first time he came to the Wayfarer, grins slightly at the familiar antics. He nods and sets a small cup of cider before the kender before turning to fill a pitcher with ale and set it out for the group along a stack of 4 cups. Adran orders as well and the man nods, moving to the kitchen to place their food order. Before long a sampler plate of cured meats and cheeses is brought out for each of the two. As Adran glances around the room, it seems to be mostly locals taking a meal or relaxing. Nothing unusual stands out about the place, and it seems the kind of inn one might find practically anywhere; though certainly well-kept.
Elsa takes a stool beside Pyros and points to one of the meals another patron is having; a platter of mashed tubers, peas and a small lamb-chop. She tries to order wine as well, but her grasp of the local language is still flimsy. Merrick, standing nearby, translates for her. The bartender sets up a pitcher of the local Meekulbrau (a somewhat bitter red wine) and more cups before putting Elsa’s order in with the kitchen.
Cross enters, Fenrir perched on one shoulder and an order is placed for the Elf’s meal as well. Several patrons cast surprised looks at the bird, but nothing is said. Why do two-legs use cages so much? How can you flee if there is danger? The rook asks mentally.
Guillam greets Mira warmly, Welcome! Welcome back my dear. Ah, I see you bring me custom as always. Umm… the raven… is… umm… is he tame? The man asks, glancing a little nervously in Cross’ direction as well as the faces of his customers. He greets the newcomers also Welcome sirs and kind ladies. Welcome to the Wayfarer’s Rest. he says in Harmonian, which a few members of the group translate for the others. Turning back to the bard he appears slightly uneasy at the appearance of the two new gypsy-folk. Oh, are there wagons near? Has your caravan come to the town? he asks interestedly.
As the two speak, the stable boy runs in and whispers to him before bolting back outside through the kitchen. He nods about rooms and stabling, Oh yes, plenty of room for a pair of horses. Our stablehand has already seen to them. As for rooms, well… we may have enough if you’re all on good terms with one another. he chuckles at his own jest. We’ve two doubles and two singles. I may have a spare bed or two to move around if needed. He grins at the bard again in a fatherly manner, Are you interested in playing again tonight?
Merrick turns to ask Jerry if she would like anything to eat or drink as well. She observes him carefully when he is not looking, and occasionally he touches the new amulet subconsciously as if making sure it is there. From time to time he stops to look at it, a small smile on his face. He certainly seems genuinely pleased with it, and periodically smiles back at her.
Artanis shakes his head in amusement at Pyros, but answers Pytor’s question. I think if we decide to stay tonight, we should leave at first light. I doubt we’ll be staying any longer than one night here before setting out. he says, seemingly a little perturbed even at that short delay. There are a couple of smithies here, but I’m not sure what work you could get. However, one is run by a… well I suppose you could call him a friend of ours; though we only met him recently. His name is John, and his shop is right off the main road here if you take it West. His shop is on the left side of the road just after the curve. There is no sign, but it’s pretty obviously a smithy. One of us can come along to make introductions if you’re interested.
So how long will the road take us? Elsa asks back towards Artanis. The ranger grins but replies straightforwardly. Staying here tonight will keep us from one more night in the woods, but we would reach our destination when the sun is close to setting on the third day. Of course, there might be a way to shave a day off of our travels… he muses.
====
The inn has 2 single and 2 double rooms left open. It should be enough for the party if they share.
Double Room/night: 7sp
Single rooms/night: 5sp
A single room has space for 2 human-sized occupants, but someone will be on the floor (like Cross did previously) unless a spare bed is brought in and paid for (1sp/night), or the small bed is shared by 2 characters (*cough* as others have)
Mira's food and room (if a single) are free as part of her agreement with the inn for any night she performs. If she wants a double instead, she can simply pay the difference (or have the difference taken from her earnings)

"My friend." Mira responds clasping Gulliams hand firmly, "The Raven is indeed tame, I don't understand it myself, but it is." Translating as she goes she steps back, clasping her arms around Adrastia and Pytor, "These are my friends, Adrastia and her Brother Pytor, they are here as my Guests, if thats ok?"
"Ahh, Rooms, A double for me and Elsa, Adrastia would you share with us? I'm sure Jerry and Merrick will share a single, that leaves the Boys to fight over what's left." She giggles at that image and nods. "I would LOVE to play tonight! I have some new songs." Hanging her head slightly she lets out a little exhale of breath, "My style was less welcomed in Skald, this is like home, much more like home. But.. we are only staying tonight."
"Could I have a glass of Meekulbrau and something light?" She adds eying a table large enough for them all.

Pyros will dig in as soon as the plate is set down. He will see if Fenrir will go for a piece of meat if offered.
Upon seeing the glass of cider he will sigh, and slide it to Cross, and pour himself a glass of ale.
===================================
"We balance the escape with the shelter from the elements, and once in our own rooms, we fell much more secure."
He will grab the cider slid from Pyros and drink it in small sips, while eating whatever food is ordered for him.

Jerry shakes her head, "Thank, Merrick, but not needed really. Just some water to be sociable. And to pick up a few more words of the local language." She pauses then whispers in his ear, I've got my 'effect' in place that means I don't need sustenance for a day. I only use it every other day in case of side effects, although none are known to me. Saving up for a new special book for 'effects'."
After her discreet observations the priestess smiles quietly in the satisfaction that she's been able to provide some happiness in this unhappy world.
"Sure, Mira. Sounds good to me," Jerry answers.

Pytor allows the stable boy to take Mist Cleaver and follows the group inside. Th gypsy seems uneasy as the food and drink are ordered. After hearing Artanis' reply, he dwells in thought for a moment before turning towards the door. "I don't see the point in introductions as we've only met ourselves this morning. Still, I'll inquire with him for future opportunities... It's a bit stuffy in here for my comfort. If you will excuse me, I'm going to take a walk around this town and get a feel for the place."

Re: Act 2 Scene 2: “In Search of The Crown” (Game Thread)
Gilliam seems somewhat relieved to hear the raven is tame, So long as... he? So long as he doesnt go into the kitchen... or disturb the other guests... he adds. The barest indication of relief rises again regarding the two Vistani. Ah, of course they're welcome. No, no. I was just curious if the caravan was about. he smiles. Adrestia shrugs and nods regarding sharing a room with Elsa and Mira as if it were of no consequence. The Vistani woman takes a key and disappears upstairs for a moment, returning after having stowed her gear aside from the rapier and hand-axe af her belt.
Guilliam brightens at her wish to play tonight, Splendid! We'll have a packed house. I'll set the rooms aside and you and your friends can fetch your keys whenever you're ready. He gives the bard a fatherly hug. This is your home now. You must come see us whenever you're in town. He adds.
Cross sets into his food with a will as always, offering a bite of his lamb-chop to Fenrir. The raven considers it a moment then, being a scavenger, snatches the morsel cleanly from the offered fingers. Fluffy four-leg... better raw...
Merrick nods about the spell, Of course. he says, pouring glasses of Meekulbrau for Jerry, then Mira, then himself. He also accepts the key from the bartender, Umm... should i hold onto this or would you like to? he asks his companion. Mira is soon brought a plate of winter greens with bits of bacon and a oil and red-wine vinegar dressing.
The group spots a suitably sized table near the kitchen as the counter gets more crowded with the bulk of them. Artanis asks Cross if he'd prefer to resume their previous lodging arrangement. I'll take the floor this time. My back isnt used to beds.
As Pytor mentions walking about, Adrestia steps over. It might be wise to have someone with you who speaks the local language. I can come if you like, it might give us a chance to talk as well... she adds.

Adrastia takes one key for the room she is to share with Mira and Elsa.
If cross agrees to rooming in a single with Artanis, that leaves Pyros, Pytor and Adran to share a double.
