Re: Act 2 Scene 2: “In Search of The Crown” (Game Thread)
[Spells updated on the sheets. I believe i got them all. Let me know if i missed any.]
Artanis smooths his beard at the back and forth, hiding amusement. Well, we picked up oil and torches yesterday. We didn't think to procure garlic, though... he glances at Jerry, Expecting trouble of a particular sort? We could easily pick some up on our way out or see if our friend Jackques has any. he chuckles.
Shortly the group satisfies themselves for food and drink, and the bill is settled. Well, Elsa says cheerfully, we're burning daylight as my Da usrd to say. Everyone ready?
===
i'll do bookeeping for the food costs later, taken out from the amount Mira set aside for the group. I'll have to go over my notes so i'll do that another day.

"YEAHLETSGO!"
"Yes, I believe I am ready also."

Picking up his things, Adran says as ready as I'll ever be!
Re: Act 2 Scene 2: “In Search of The Crown” (Game Thread)
"Thanks, Artemis. We can talk more en route," replies Jerry. "OK, give me ten minutes to powder my nose and collect my stuff and I'll be ready to go."
Re: Act 2 Scene 2: “In Search of The Crown” (Game Thread)
"Let me get my pack, and I'll be ready." Mira responds, giving Jerry a strange look before sliding out of the table and heading upstairs to collect her pack, crossbow, sword and lute, placing each on her back, the weight with the Armor slowing her down somewhat.
" Kid never learned to clear a room. Doors and corners, I told him. Doors and corners."

In the time where everyone is gathering things, Pyros will inspect his pockets for anything new.
Cross will go out into the morning air and ask Fenrir to see how the horizon looks for weather today.
"How does the sky look for our travels today?"

Re: Act 2 Scene 2: “In Search of The Crown” (Game Thread)
Those with things to retrieve upstairs scatter to make their collections, while Cross leads his stately raven to the door to assess the day’s weather. Winging his way upward, the crow caws loudly as it circles higher and higher. No sky fire, no falling water. The winged ones that hunt will cast no shadows today… be wary… Peeking outside, Cross sees the overcast sky above.
Pyros, being already ready already like a good kender should, starts digging through the myriad of pouches ringing his waist. He comes out with a few fun interesting items he must have picked up somewhere! As he fishes them out on the table, Adrastia grins in amusement at the array. Pyros pulls out a rabbit’s foot, a black mask with crow feathers on it, an odd brass skeleton key, a shiny gold coin with a jester’s hat marked on one side and a trio of juggling clubs stamped on the other, and a piece of broken crystal obviously broken off of a larger orb.
As the Kender digs through, his bracelet of woven horsehair falls out, catching the dusky hued fighter’s interest. Say, that’s a special kind of bracelet. I have one just li… Moving her arm to show him, her brow draws down as she finds it missing from her wrist. Hands on hips, she arcs one dark eyebrow and speaks in a very still voice. Where did you get that?…
Once the mystery of the bracelet is discussed and the others return to the common area, the party bids farewell to their friends at the inn and sets out through the town. The morning is damp and bleak, a thick slate-grey roof of cloud that seems all of one piece lingers in the sky, just as the familiar reported. Passing West through the Main square they find stands of produce and spices, where Jerry easily locates a man selling garlic. When the minor transactions are completed, they continue Southwest through the gate and out of Upper Skald. Passing through the ramshackle Out Town beyond the wall, the group makes good time along the road.
Hardly more than 3 hours later they come to the drive that leads up the hill to where Jackques’ farm lay, just out of sight.
====
[garlic is about 1cp per bulb. How much does Jerry want?]
Pyros inspects his pockets in the common room. He finds all of the edible bits remaining have been eaten by his mice!
He also finds a few new items he has acquired to keep his pouches full, including:
-rabbits foot
-child sized (his size) black carnival mask with feathers
-gold coin with a jester's hat marked on heads, 3 juggling clubs on tails
-odd brass skeleton key
-piece of shattered crystal obviously broken off from a spherical object
Pyros also checks his coin, finding that he managed to swap out one dozen of his steel pieces for an equal amount of gold!
[I’ll make the coinage adjustments to his sheet momentarily. Make note if he wants to put any of these items in permanent storage rather than back in the ‘random array’]

"Could you watch our surroundings and alert me to anyone who approaches?"
==========================================================================
He will play with and flip the coin while on the road.
The foot can go back into random circulation.
He will ask people about the key.
He will also keep the mask handy for shenanigans.
The shard can also go into randomness (Is that from the vase he broke earlier? lol)

"Thank you," says Jerry.

While on the road, Adran takes in his surroundings. He looks for anything that might not belong. He remains ready with his bow in hand and arrows at the ready in his quiver.
OOC - is the road that the group on in the countryside with open space or in a forest?

Fenrir takes to the air, keeping watch as the group walks, the dusky hued fighter woman leading her horse rather than riding for now.
Adran readies hisnbow and keeps watch as well, the forests lying only a few yards from the road on either side.
Jerry checks the weather more closely, but it seems nothing more than a natural yet bleak day threatening rain at any moment.
As they reach the turn to the farm, the ranger Artanis signals a halt, I just want to make sure...
The half elf moves off intk the woods without another word. A few moments later he returns. Someone is there. A horse is tethered outsode to graze, but i didn't get close enough to see anyone...
Could it be Ontash? Elsa asks hopefully, but the ranger shrugs uncertain.
[The party likely recalls Jackques had no horses]

Re: Act 2 Scene 2: “In Search of The Crown” (Game Thread)
Mira walks to the farm in a quiet thoughtful mood occasionally exchanging glances with Elsa before they finally reach their destination.
“Someone?” She asks, “Ontash had horses, so it could be him. it's probably nothing , so we go in together. Spellcasters in the Middle, Elsa and I will take the rear, Adrastia and Artanis up front, Pyros take a look around.” With that she shoulders her pack again and draws her crossbow, notching a bolt. "Just in case."
“Jerry, Adran, Merrick do you have any spells we could use? Cross..? Perhaps you could ask your new friend to take a look?”
“Ready?” The words are directed at Elsa, but it’s obvious she means everyone.

[Ontash had two horses i believe. Pyros helped him brush one down that last day at the farm]
Typo. Fixed now.

Suddenly the most serious anyone will have heard Pyros.
"Give me a couple of minutes lead."
Pyros will break off from the group and try to sneak up to the house again. Trying to avoid windows.
