Re: Sir Karl Mordrane Sularia (Jerrard)- Private Thread
Well, he was well and truly lost now. Lighting the single candle he had with the flint and steel he Walks in a direction he considered to be straight on for exactly 100 hundred paces, leaves a copper piece and then turns around, heading back towards the candle, looking for its light.

Re: Sir Karl Mordrane Sularia (Jerrard)- Private Thread
Karl lights his candle and begins to move into the mist. After about thirty feet the mist grows quite thick; so much so that he can't even see his legs below the knee! Suddenly, the fog lifts as if he stepped through a wall of mist and into clear space...

I know that Vampires do exist in Krynn, Mira will know of them as they make good scary stories, but Karl has never been told or to exposed to such things, Undead are generally rare in DL hence why Lord Soth and his Minions were so freaky.

From the game thread
"That would be ideal, thank you Lady Elsa." Karl bows, waiting on her to use the scroll.

Re: Sir Karl Mordrane Sularia (Jerrard)- Private Thread
Elsa nods, taking the scroll out and concentrating as she goes over it in her head a few times. She says a small prayer to Yondalla for guidance, and prepares herself. Taking a deep breath she lets it out long and slow to calm herself. Opening her eyes she smiles at the Knight as she begins the ritual from the scroll, gesturing for him to kneel as she raises her holy symbol, which begins to glow with a faint golden light. Nurturing Mother, your faithful servant calls to you in our time of need; Yondalla hear my prayer. She touches the symbol to Sir Karl's left shoulder. Here is one who stands against the darkness; we ask you, hear our prayer. The Halfling moves the symbol in a semicircle over his head to light on his opposite shoulder. Here kneels one beset by Evil; Great Protector and Provider, hear our prayer. She raises the symbol overhead as it grows brighter and brighter with each passing phrase. Here is one who gave of himself in the service of Good, expecting nothing in return. Fill his cup with Plenty, Mother. Restore his soul, we beg you, that he may continue to be a useful servant of the light; to Protect the downtrodden and Defend the weak against the wicked. Yondalla hear our prayer. The golden light floods the common area, those present hardly able to look at the shining symbol of faith as the Cleric brings it down gently to touch the Knight's head. The radiant light seeps into the Knights body, flooding his veins and muscles, nerves and skin and bone with brilliant light! Slowly the illumination fades and a sense of wholeness returns; the aches and weariness of the ordeal utterly washed away from Sir Karl, body and soul. Smiling down at the kneeling man, Elsa asks, How do you feel?

Karl maintains his quiet stoicism during the casting, his eyes are fixed in the Priestess as she speaks.
As the magic washes over him, a feeling he never thought he would experience, magic true magic, magic like this hadn't existed in his homeland since the time of the King priest.
He felt a sensation like no other, like the gods themselves, whatever you called them had taken him into their hands and said "You are worthy. You will be whole once more."
He breathes slowly, his face impassive before his body is wracked with sobs, small at first, then deeper, until he falls to his knees in a silent prayer.
"Thank you. Truly. I am forever in your debt. You are truly your goddess's chosen." He takes her hand as he rises, kisses it softly. "Pyros is a lucky man." He states in a low Voice and prepares to depart.

Re: Sir Karl Mordrane Sularia (Jerrard)- Private Thread
Elsa hugs the Knight, squeezing him tightly and resting her head on his shoulder in comforting manner. I'm just a fellow servant of good, like you. The power belongs to Yondalla I'm just a vessel. Besides, she adds cheerfully, pulling back as she wipes away a small bit of damp from her own eye, We gotta look out for one another, right? You've protected us all so much, it was my turn to repay the favor!
